I had to say goodbye to one of my fur babies today!

So sorry to hear of your loss, I wish you a quick recovery. I had an eight year old Golden Retriever pass away July fifth and am still heart broken over a Golden retriever that I  lost nine years ago. I still have a nine year old Golden retriever and we got a English Cream Retriever to keep her company and get all of our hearts back in shape. He has done so much for us. The puppy has pumped all kinds of energy into our nine year old and is a constant source of entertainment for the family. We plan on getting another English Cream Retriever in February so that the puppy will have company in case the nine year old passes away unexpectedly. Both English Creams came in from a friend in the United Kingdom and the breed typically has less instances of death attributed to cancer which has killed two of our dogs. They are all forever in our hearts.

I just posted that my 21 years old daughter lost her Rescued dog last Tuesday, she rescued him 2 years ago,he was 6 years old, he was not sick, but had been not himself lately, he died on her arms, I believe he was waiting for her, she went to give him his arthritis medicine, he look at her took a deep breath and collapse on her arms.  it has been one of the hardest things I had to deal with.  She was in no position to deal with the driving of the body to the Vets. 

It is sad and very hard

Oh, I am so sorry for you, your daughter and her beloved dog.  I don't know what's worse; coming home to find that your pet has passed or having him/her pass in your arms like that.

Either way, it is so painful.  Remind your daughter of the kindness she has shown toward her dog.  I always admire people who rescue pets.  That is so commendable.  Give her a big hug.

I agree, it was just devastating for her.  I never havd experience anything like that, and it broke my heart, like I said he died in her arms, and she kept crying and saying all I was trying to do is give him his medicine.  I was very, very hard and sad

I'm so sorry, we lost one of our dogs 2 weeks ago, and another one that is going to have to be put to sleep. She is 19 and her health is failing.
