I usually mix in a envelope of Lipton Onion Soup mix.  (meat, egg, tomato sauce, bread crumbs and onion soup mix).
Now that you got me thinking about it  I may have to make one tonight. :)

Dehydraded onions and bell peppers or fresh if I have them.  Bread crumbs, egg and this sauce that Alton Brown has a recipe for on top it is kind of spicy or I top it with Ketchup.  Oh man now I am hungry for meatloaf lol

I have a recipe that uses steak sauce instead of Ketchup and Ritz crackers instead of breadcrumbs.  Its very tasty.

I think i can safely say that I've never actually made a meatloaf. However, my husband has, and I think he puts hamburger, bread crumbs, onions, green bell peppers, garlic, and an egg in it. Whatever he does, it's delicious! Meatloaf is definitely one of my comfort foods, LOL!  :peace:

Green peppers, a little garlic and bread crumbs to help hold together.

I add onions, green peppers, one egg, bread crumbs and garlic.  Bake it for a half hour and then top it with a brown sugar and ketchup mixture and bake for another half an hour.

I add dried bread crumbs and some diced onion, milk, and egg, ketchup, and worcstershire sauce and dried parsley, garlic powder and salt and pepper.

I love meatloaf.  I use ground chuck, onions, salt/pepper, toasted bread, eggs, ketchup.  Mix all together.  Bake.  Apply more ketchup to the top and bake a little longer.  Mash up some potatoes and you are all set!
Have a wonderful day!
