Bad Produce

Usually only shop buy one get one free at Publix and only the things I check the price on.

We have Publix and I love to shop there.  I haven't had any problems with produce, but I'm sure they will take care of you if you let them know.  Awsome store

We have a couple stores. The IGA's produce isn't very nice because most people don't buy produce there. Giant and the other grocery store have beautiful produce but more expensive. I usually go to the produce store down the street. Prices are great and they have expanded now into meats and they look soooo good. We bought ham steaks there and they were very good, not salty and not heavily smoked. Hubby went back the next day for more and only 1 was left. I guess because they were only $2 each. I even got NY strip steaks 2/$7 but for those meats, you have to get there as soon as they put them out and I haven't figured out when that is yet.    They always had a deli with some meats like roasts, but mostly lunch meat and cheese. Also have homemade baked goods and candies. Their produce isn't the greatest in storage time. The motto is "buy it quick and use it quick." Some produce only lasts a couple days but you can't beat lettuce 2 heads/$150, or bananas 5 lb. for $1.

If you put the lettuce in the lock and lock containers you will see it stays fresher a lot longer.Those L&L containers are great for everything.All diiferent sizes and they run deals with them on the TV shopping channels.HSN and QVC.

Publix here in Georgia has great Produce, but we also have an Inles and you can not get my Husband out of this Store. He loves all kinds of Fruit there. He is a big Fruit eater anyway. I have to admit that Ingles has the best Produce.

I don't think I would take fruit back. Fruit's a gamble. They didn't knowingly sell me an apple with a brown spot in it so I don't see it as the store's fault. I do notice that AJ's our ritzy grocery store always has pretty reliably really good fruit, but it's expensive. Frys, Safeway, Walmart are all a gamble.

I have heard of Publics but I have never been to one before. I know they are in Virginia but I am not sure about Pennsylvania.
