Idk what the answer is but a lot of times when kids are home schooled they are at a huge disadvantage if they want to get a good job. And most kids who are home schooled end up being a social misfit and can't function because they are sheltered from ever dealing with other people. Maybe having more private schools that do not cost $30,000 a year to attend? But at the same time it costs a lot to run a school and a private school does not get state funding. A private school where you can have rules and if you attend here you will abide by the rules. I am truly afraid of what our country has become and what the far left are trying to turn it in to. People had better wake up. But honestly some things have just gone to far and it isn't going to change. I honestly cannot believe what has happened to our country. I never dreamed I would see some of the things I am seeing.
I have a friend who homeschooled her daughter from grade 1 to grade 11. During this time I remember many many times she and her daughter would be out shopping, out eating, going to get haircuts, etc when she was suppose to be ‘in school’. I also know she’s allowed to sleep later than ‘school started’. Anyway the daughter decided she wanted to go to regular school for 12th grade. She wanted a graduation ceremony, a prom, etc. So off she went to ‘regular’ school. The first month or two were great, made a lot of friends, etc. However, the newness wore off and she could not accept having to show up and stay all day, 5 days a week. Could not get up out of her seat anytime for a drink, eat, or turn on tv. There was NO way she was going to listen to some idiot teacher all day. All this was new to her and by December grades were all failing and she cut so many classes she finally dropped out. She could not accept the rules of school. Today she is bar tending, has 2 children by 2 different men who are not being raised by her, and countless men in her life. If you decide to homeschool do what country girl said, don’t do it yourself, go either to an online school or a school in your district, either one but make sure it has a curriculum they must follow, and make them follow
