Thank you for this recommendation! It prompted me to find the trailer. Wow, you were not wrong about this being a solid movie. i could tell from the trailer! I love war films, action films, and films that are a little artsy. This movie is all three!  :peace: :heart:

I have not seen the movie "1917" yet. I am not a big war movie person but I always aim to see as many of the Oscar Best movie nominees and "1917" is one of them. I have seen "the Joker". "Marriage Story", "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood", and the "Irishman". I am aiming to see "Ford vs Ferrari", "Parasite", "Jojo Rabbit", "Little Women" and "1917" in that order before the academy awards come out. I think that it will be hard to beat "the Joker", was mildly entertained by "once upon a time...", acting and story line were above average in "Marriage.." as was the "Irishman". I think that Quentin Tarantino's movies have begun slipping in quality. I won't watch the Oscars because I am tired of all the political grandstanding just as I am tired of all the NFL's political grand kneeling.

This makes about the tenth year in a row where I haven't seen any of the oscar nominated films lol. 1917 is probably the one I would see if I had to though.
