I don't like him and to give him that medal also was a disgrace.  That's tells you what kind of President you all have because he is not my president.  Sorry he has to go through that for this family.

He actually IS your president. He IS the president of the United States whether you voted for him or not.  Whether you like him or not.  As far as Rush being awarded that medal it is NOT a disgrace. Your not agreeing with it doesn't make it a disgrace.

Now the way filose acted WAS a disgrace. But I am sure you applauded every disgraceful thing she and the other dumorats done during his speech.

No, he is not MY president.  I didn't vote for him and would never vote for him!! As far as that racist, conspiracy theorist, hateful Limbaugh, giving him a medal in the House of Representatives would be like giving one to a major Democrat in the Senate,  It was disrespectful and ignorant, but then that's who this president is.  If you like him, like him.  But don't tell me to like him, respect him, or call him my president.

LOL.  How hilarious.  I could care less who you like. But like it or not he IS the president of the United States.  He is the president whether you voted for him or not.  He is the president whether you like him or not.  And he is the president of the entire country and every one in it.

Call him your president all you want but I know a number of people who do not think of him as their president.  The last I checked, I am still allowed my opinion.  Of course, under trump, who knows when they will try to legislate that!  Didn't vote for him, won't vote for him, don't respect him, embarrassed to say he represents the U.S., and am not calling him my president.  It's as simple as that, so put a cap on your opinion toward me!  Mine opinion is mine and it's not changing unless Trump changes into a decent human being.  Like that is going to happen!

Here's some of the lovely statements Rush was known for.  I actually remembered three of them but looked up a few others.  Such a "colorful' character to put it nicely.  He was known for spewing racist remarks and looking down on women.  Here are just a few.

Re: Blacks-"They're just 12% of the population.  Who the hell cares?"

To a Black caller- "Take that bone out of your nose and call me back."

Re: Latinos- "Let the unskilled jobs that take absolutely no knowledge whatsoever to do--let stupid and unskilled Mexicans do the work."

"Holocaust? 90 million Indians? Only 4 million left? They all have casinos--what's to complain about?"

"When women got the right to vote is when all went downhill. Because that's when vote started beig cast with emotion and uh, maternal instincts that government ought to reflect."

"When a gay person turns his back on you, it is anything but an insult; it's an invitation."

This is the great guy that was given the Medal of Honor in our Congress.  That ought to tell you something!

LOL  TAKE YOUR OWN ADVICE!  Like several others told you - HE is the president.  Like or or not.  It is hilarious how all you people who hate him so bad just loved in when obama done the exact same things.  smh

Seems like a lot of celebrities are getting cancer

A lot of people in general have cancer.  I could not care less if a celebrity has cancer.  They are no more special than any one else.  At least they have excellent health care and can afford treatment where the average person may not can and are just sent home to die.

Celebrates are no better than everybody else, then they're no worse either. You seem to equate concern over a celebrity with cancer with their elevation to godhood. That seems a jump of hitch-like proportions.

You treat everyone like they're 'snowflakes', but all I'm saying is-unless you're a marine drill sergeant- having a modicum of tact and dropping the 'damn what you think' mentality can also be useful in life. Know when to use each in the proper context.

lol  Now you are calling me hitch.  Guess him telling you there is something going on between us (which there is not and never would be) got to you.  That is hilarious.  Most people are snow flakes.  They get all bent out of shape if anybody disagrees with them.  Not sure what the "godhood" comment is about.  I don't think I mentioned God at all.  Like I said A LOT of people have cancer.  People act like if a celebrity gets cancer it is the end of the world and everybody is just suppose to be all upset.  What about all the other people who have cancer.  I think it is the one who posts under "cateyes" in here has mentioned having cancer.  A celebrity is no more important than her.  Being a celebrity does not make you special.

Got nothing to do with hitch. I've called you out for being abrasive long before hitch started adding that routine to his shtick.

It's just the way you come across with this huge chip on your shoulder sometimes. It's not always necessary. But hey, as the kids say these days "you do you."

Really doesn't matter. Some may have been taken out of context. Others, well in over 30 years of being in broadcast radio, he's bound to have said a few things to tick folks off. Doesn't negate the good he's done. I'm not down with cancel culture.

I guess we're all entitled to our opinions until we have to be called out on thinking a person has done "good."  This man is well-known as a racist, misogyonist, and generally nasty guy who stands with white men over just about any other group.  You can tell from what he has stated on a national stage. Excusing and justifying him by length of career, out of context, or anything else is inexcusable and pathetic.  Please think more critically about who and what you support!

Sorry, but I just don't see it.  Very much like Donald Trump, Rush has been accused of being racist, misogynist, etc. because he has stated conservative minded opinions that others with a liberal mindset oppose. National media have repeated their biased opinions (which paint every single conservative thinker as a racist regardless of their true opinions and reasoning/rationale). This turns into the generalization from those who never bother to listen to these thinkers outside of isolated sound bytes taken out of context - in turn making their own generalized parroted statements and accepting those biases as truth.

I, for one, think very critically of (and do disagree at times with) Rush Limbaugh, but overall (not in every individual instance) agree with much of what he says. I can say the same thing with regard to noted conservatives Bill O'Reilly and Ben Shapiro, among others.

All three are considered racist Nazis by the mainstream media and by all those who follow those media outlets like sheep. But if you would take the time to listen to the reasoning, logic, and rationale that these (and other conservatives) provide in their commentary - really listen to it and not automatically discard it you would see that there is some truth to what they say and that they are not the evil mean-spirited misogynists that you have been programmed to assume that they are.

Please think more critically about who and what you have been programmed to automatically consider to be evil without giving any real analysis to what they have really said as opposed to what has been reported that they have said. THAT mentality is what is truly "inexcusable and pathetic".
