Free Heart Health screening at MinuteClinic®
« on: February 10, 2020, 01:49:28 pm »
Apparently this is a yearly event, but I just found out about it, & thought perhaps some people here might want to get some free diagnostics :)     I'm planning on taking advantage as I added Ashwaganda to my supplements recently & want to see if it has had any effect.   It's FREE so why not...

Heart health screening—no cost!
Make a date with your heart and get a no–cost heart health screening at MinuteClinic® during select Thursdays in February (2/6, 2/13 and 2/20).

"Consumers can visit their local MinuteClinic on February 6, 13, and 20 and receive a no-cost heart health preventive screening, supported by TYLENOL, to learn the five key personal health numbers that can help them determine their risk for heart disease: total cholesterol, HDL (good) cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar and body mass index."

You need to go in on a 12 hour fast & download a voucher on the MinuteClinic site or show it from your phone.

MinuteClinic is a division of CVS Health that provides retail clinic services.  MinuteClinic was initially started as QuickMedx by Dr. Douglas Smith and his patient Rick Krieger, along with Stephen Pontius in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  MinuteClinic has more than 1,100 locations in 33 states and the District of Columbia.  The headquarters is in Woonsocket, RI.

This is such a positive thread in support of the month of February as American Heart month.  But that does not exclude any other nationalities because "cardiovascular disease knows no borders."

My heart is fine, it's the coronary arteries that feed it oxygen that have the problem. Hopefully the Angioplasty I am having tomorrow morning is going to fix that.

Never heard of MinuteClinic.

MinuteClinics are located inside Target & CVS, right next to their pharmacy.

We don't have any clinics like that around my area.
Have a wonderful day!

I was able to book an appointment today for Thursday right on their site...

Here is the 411:  https://cvshealth.com/newsroom/press-releases/cvs-health-offer-no-cost-heart-health-screenings-support-womens-heart

If you go to the cvs go red link it will take you to their site & the voucher is located on the bottom right.

Hopefully your Angioplasty was a success & you are doing well!  Sounds like a serious procedure.

It didn't, but it did indicated 95% to 98% blockage in some arteries leading to bypass surgery that headed off an impending heart attack (possibly within minutes).
