I think the way they killed him off by being bitten by a walker was pretty lame.

I don't think it matters anymore. All the main characters are bailing. They should have ended the show already. The last few seasons have been boring. But I still keep watching it anyway.  :P

I watch it when it comes on Netflix.  I liked the Carl character.  My favorite character (Glen) was killed off quite a while ago.

No.  They showrunners have ran that show into the ground I've stopped watching it for years now -- and I was an avid watcher prior & read the graphic novels.  You know what happens in the graphic novels?  Carl doesn't die; & the novels end when Rick dies & time progresses to Carl as a father reading a book written about his father, Rick, to his own child... in a town that has a statue of Rick as a prominent historical figure.  Satisfying.

Movies and shows seldom follow the books.   books are usually better.

I thought I would quit watching when Carl died, but I kept going.  When Rick died, that was it for me.  Now I find myself tuning in to see what's up with Neegan and Lucille.

I thought it would end when Rick died. It has been very boring but it's one of those shows that you just have to watch to find out what happens next. Negan was very interesting but even he's getting boring. I play catch up. I can't watch during prime time so I either watch the reruns in the middle of the night or wait until a marathon to catch up.

I think the show started going downhill after they killed off the Governor.

The actor quit the show so they really didn't have a choice.

I agree, it was lame that he got bitten by a walker. I was hoping he would of died while fighting or something.

Even though I liked the character.  I think that they did right by not having him die while fighting but instead by getting bitten while trying to help someone.
