Now my job is on weird hours from it and I don't understand how well that is going to help.

We received a reported death in the next town over. Quarantine is definitely in effect now. Luckily I have always worked from home but now both my wife and son will be doing remote teaching/schooling in the next couple of weeks.

Why did you start another thread? There are already 3 or 4 with the exact same title.

I can see why you think we need no mods. You're doing a good job of acting the part. lol

lol.  Guess you just look for people to argue with. Hitch quit fight with you all the time so you are now attacking me.  I am not acting anything. Legit question.  I don't get why when there are already 2-3 topics somebody starts a new one.  Need to attention maybe? I am sure the site has moderators. And no, as was suggested else where they are not going to pick people working for pennies on this site to be a moderator.
No need for the drama. No one's 'attacking' you. Seems like you're the one who's looking for attention, by telling folks what topics they can make. It's none of your business why they made the topic. Unless you have something to add about the subject, leave them alone.

If this site has mods, they must be ninjas. Because, they are about as hard to catch. lol But hey, they don't want to make trustee mods from our ranks, then that's on them. This place is getting more like the Wild West everyday.

lol.  DO you feel better now?

Well, you're the one always preaching folks shouldn't be 'coddled.' I figured the direct approach would be the most effective to you.  *shrug

Not wanting to be "coddled".  Not sure what your issue is either.  Guess you just need somebody to argue with. lol

lol  I got bigger things to worry about than what idiots I do not even know want to spout on the internet.  I just got a message about something going on locally and I don't even know how to react.  If I was a snowflake I would be hiding under my blankie with my crayons.

I think it is overblown. The media is causing hysteria, and people in general are easily brainwashed. The flu kills tens of thousands of people every year in the US alone, and no one is hoarding face masks over that.
According to members of the medical industry, if we don't slow down this very fast spreading virus, hospitals and health clinics will be so overwhelmed with patients that they will not be able to care for not only Covid-19 patients but other patients as well.

Yes, the flu has killed many more people but think about this:  During flu season are theme parks closed?  Are events where people gather cancelled or postponed?

Many more people are exposed to the flu every year because life continues on without much interruption.  Right now life has to be interrupted so as to slow down the spread and get a handle on it.

So while we should not panic and should use common sense, it may not be a good idea to think that it's overblown.  Get the facts and make informed decisions.

Sorry, I didn't word my original post very well. I was referring to the media, not the virus itself. Of course, the virus is serious, especially since it's new to us. And of course, we should take precautions to protect ourselves and prevent spreading it around. But I don't think it's necessary to clear the shelves at the supermarket and walk around in hazmat suits and shut down literally everything. It's going to be a year before a vaccine is available to everyone, and we just can't just stay huddled in our homes until that happens.

I am NOT sure i would even get the vaccine.I think taking the precautions and i use a health supplement from Purity Products,a well know business with AAA from BB.The produdct is Fiber-biotics and it helps our immune system.EZ to take as it is a tasty wafer.

FREE advice and worth looking into.I go by my experience taking it over 10 yrs now.Of course those precautions can run into time and unforseen occurrence too.But you limit the chances too when UR wise.

Yes,  I agree, that's the kind of protocol everyone should take.  Be sensible and don't clear the store shelves.

By staying away from as many people as we reasonably can, we protect ourselves and perhaps others.

I also agree with what you said about the media.  Though some of the media is good, many times it's a big mess.  Thanks for the clarification.  Keep yourself well.
