Anybody else feel dizzy around blood?
« on: March 08, 2020, 03:01:17 pm »
I can handle watching the walking dead and the vampire diaries with only feeling somewhat nauseous when it shows up on the shows, but when i accidentally get a cut that keeps bleeding or have to help someone get a sliver out of their hand, i get light headed and start crying and have to lay down.
Anybody else feel this way? Or know why i get like that?
I know i could never become a doctor or a veterinarian, but i wish i could quit feeling so ill from it.

Watching it on TV doesn't bother me but actually seeing blood on someone does. I'm scared to touch it, even my own but will if I have to. I feel that way too.

Seeing blood doesn't bother me that much.  Of course if it was a huge gushing wound, that would freak me out.  I'd hope my senses would just kick in and I'd help the afflicted person.

I work myself up so much about giving blood that I almost faint, but the sight of my own blood doesn't really bother me.

No.. seeing blood doesn't bother me.

However, I don't enjoy torture killing horror shows -- like Hostel & SAW -- where they show a ton of blood & gore... they're painful to watch, so I don't.

No, seeing blood doesn't bother me. I'm ok with watching it in fiction or nonfiction TV.
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

Absolutely. I get to where I will faint if I don't lie down over seeing a minor cut or even just hearing that someone I know has been injured which makes me think it's more of an empathy thing than a gore thing.

I do not feel dizzy when I see blood but I do have a few pals who feel it when it happens.

Nearly did when I got wisdom teeth surgery last month, but I'm glad I was sedated, lol.

No, I've been around sick people most of my life so it's almost normal but I don't make a habit of trying to watch it on tv.
