Internal Revenue Service push back filing and tax payment due deadline till July 15.. Great news for some but I already filed and am awaiting a refund, wonder if it will be delayed?

My state has also pushed back the deadline to file and make tax payments till July 15 !!

I have not filed yet so this is good in a way but bad because it gives me more time to procrastinate.

That is nice that the IRS extended the deadline to July 15th. But some states like Massachusetts has chosen to keep their state tax deadline at April 15th. Would be nice if the state extended it April 15th.

I have already gotten my federal and state refunds.  They are waiting in my vacation fund for whenever I make it to Hawaii to spend them.  :(
Have a wonderful day!

I have to pay 500 a year not fo4 taxes . In 2008 we bought a house and the government  gave us 7500 . We have to pay 500.00 a year . So glad to have a few extra months.

I have all of my documents in with my certified public accountant except my business miles spread sheets which I will send this weekend. My wife and I were going to file separately this year because I had a new business and was not sure what my expense would be. I heard her curse last Friday as she opened an e-mail from her accountant. Apparently she owes in the five figure range. I told her that she was not taking enough deductions and should have been paying in extra to her 401K as well as putting a little extra into the internal revenue service each month. I think she is going to take me up on my offer to file jointly to see if we can reduce the amount that she owes. I'll aim at filing separately next year as I have two new businesses that I want to incorporate.
