Cruises
« on: March 28, 2020, 10:51:23 am »
Another cruise ship is "adrift" so to speak with no port allowing them to dock.  I don't understand people continuing to cruise or ships continuing to have cruises.  I hate being like this but where is wisdom.  Especially a family member talking about a mid 70's couple from Tallahassee Florida is on this Holland cruise with no where to land.  Sad but ………………..to me getting on that ship after what happened to other cruise ships is akin to Russian roulette.

That is a shame.  We have too many cases as a country already.

I don't think I would have wanted to go on a cruise before all of this, but I don't think I ever would now watching all this unfold.

I would never go on a cruise regardless of the conditions. I decided that when all those cruise ship controversies were going on a few years ago.

I went on a cruise for Thanksgiving 2019 with family and I really enjoyed it.  However, for many many years, I wouldn't go on a cruise because it did not seem very appealing.  Well, I think I am back to not wanting to go again.

i don't think they are bad.  I was on a ship in the navy.  If someone gets sick everyone is.

I agree but I hear that some of these people went before the US had restricted social distancing, since the US had though that we could do it so people decided to do it.  Now that are all stuck with no where to go.  I have been wanting to go to a cruise for a long time, but not during this crisis that they have been having since before this pandemic.

I never liked going on any kind of Cruises for 1 thing it's too expensive & before this killer virus came about there was alot of cases food poisoning which was a total turn off to me. I agree this virus is causing people to be Stand offish, cold to each other. The distancing solution will soon make people emotionally distancing our moral core, like expressing something pure & free......Simple Kindness!

I enjoyed cruises in the past; but at this point no desire to go on one any time soon or perhaps never again. My travel will be limited to staying in the states for now and even  that will be limited.

As far as I know everything is cancelled until May 15th at this point.  My daughter has one booked in middle June, but she is thinking they might cancel that too.
