I do hope your stepmother gets better. Some people are able to recover after they are diagnosed. Small number of those do not. I'd say believe in miracles will help.

I just found out my step mom in Michigan has the cornona virus and not doing well at all.  She has dementia and other medical problems.  She was in a nursing home.The last time I saw or talked to her was 2 years ago and she had no clue who I was but I am happy that I made that trip to see her.  For a long time we did not talk because of the way she treated my dad and my sisters.  My dad passed away 4 years ago and she has been in nursing home for about 3 years now.
