I'm just resting until the kids come home, enjoying the peace but also kind of lonely.

Sounds exciting, good luck on not falling lol  JK if you do just get back up.  I haven't skated in years, this is definitely a time of rediscovering one self.

Tomorrow, I am going to go outside and try out some skates I bought a couple years ago! I'm excited!

Me too! I'd love to sit out on it with a good book, jazz, and a cold drink while the sun sets.

I too wish we had a backyard. We just have a little balcony to sit out on.

I am having a great time with the garden this year.  I guess with more attention it is going like crazy.  Tomatoes, beets, peas, beans, peppers, squash..so yummy to eat fresh and freezing a lot too.

Patiently waiting for my son to move my recliner back downstairs so I  can upgrade this kitchen chair to something more comfortable. He sold my lift chair yesterday that I no longer need and concluded a successful strategy to solve the problem I bought it for at minimal cost.

After I came home from my surgery and recovered a little, my recliner was comfortable, but I could not get out of it without lots of help. The lift chair let me push a button to stand me up and worked great for a few months, but it cost me $200 even for a used one. To complete the story. we sold it yesterday for $150 and reduced my net cost to a $50 rental over several months.

The weather is getting nicer.  After about 20 yrs, I finally got the back yard fenced in.  Soon will be able to open the back door and kick the dog and kids out.  Not have to worry about them as much.  The kids in the back yard leaves my front yard open to more planting.  I am looking forward to gardening this year.

I also am taking a sign language class on line.  Hope to get that done this week.

Wish everyone a good day.

Sounds good.  Kind of miss my yard and gardening but less work for me now.

Today I returned home from a few days at my daughter's house.  She and her husband just had their 2nd baby on July 4.  I went over and watched their 2 year old and helped out with what ever tasks my daughter wanted help with.

Since it was gorgeous out when I got home, I unpacked my bags, grabbed my son and the floaties and we went to the lake for a relaxing hour.
