Upside to CoVid 19
« on: April 20, 2020, 01:06:30 pm »
Now that it is warmer out I can open the windows.  The air outside smells fabulous,  it's like a giant ionizer.  The air also looks a lot clearer.  I read an article recently that said in India they can see some mountain from 125 miles away for the first time in almost 40 years.  Wild life is also making a big appearance. :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose:

I have a seven month old, English Cream Retriever that is absolutely thriving under my watchful eye whilst working from home. He and my ten year old Golden Retriever are getting three walks per day which has also been good for me. It has been easier to work longer hours at my second job and the project is paying quite well right now. I have enough time to get all of my posts in. I have been helping a neighbor with his business which has been educational as well as reading one to two books per week. My wife has put me to work on bigger projects like putting a flagstone patio in the front yard, re-seeding dead spots in our lawn, cleaning the garage, purging our crawl space and expanding our waterfall. Getting these things done has improved my relationship with my wife. My daughter has moved home (even though she has a rental closer to work) which rocks my world.

The northeast still hasn't really seen the warm weather, that will definitely make a difference.

Well, if there's an upside for me, it's that I'm getting more work done on my books in the spare time.

Google JediJohnnie and May the Force be with you!

Yeah the virus has helped the air quality in a lot of places, especially in some of the busier areas around the world!

The earth has been rebooting while we are in isolation.

Well now I will pay more attention to that.  Traffic really didn't seem to slow down around here.  Not much any way.  I did see an article about wild life in countries like Africa enjoying not having people around.  We should probably learn something from that.

Yes pollution has definitely been reduced as an effect of people staying in and businesses closed.

I have seen pictures of some major cities comparing the smog before corona and now.  Quite a difference.

I've seen the articles, the one that stuck out to me was the fish & dolphins have begun swimming back in the canals of Venice - so amazing. It would be nice if they recognized this & maybe only allowed electric boats through there & not the gas powered ones. Probably will never happen, but it would be nice :)

Some families are closer now having to spend so much time together.  The grandkids that stay with me are loving all the extra time and attention.

Hiya!

It's always great to see the positive sides to everything. Here in New York it is still pretty cold though. Guess I just have to be patient.

I guess one good thing is about this is there are less cars clogging up the roads. Gas prices has decreased. Pollution is getting better & our towns' air is getting cleaner.
