Don shula dies

Don shula who was the coach for the miami dolphins and was there in 1972 when they went undefeated died today. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends

I was saddened to hear of his passing.  He'll be remembered as one of the greatest coaches in the history of the game. The winningest coach in NFL history and the only one to lead a team to a perfect season. My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. May he RIP.

The first thing I remember about Coach Don Shula was the achievement of the "perfect" season in football {coaching the Miami Dolphins}.  He held the record for the winningest coach in NFL history with a regular-season record of 328-156-6 and a postseason record of 19-17.  He was truly deserving of his Hall of Fame induction.

In reading about his passing, I found it notable that he said this of his legacy to the sport, “I want them to say that he won within the rules,” Shula said. “That he had players that took a lot of pride in playing within the rules."

They don't make 'em like that anymore.  Prayers to family and many friends.  RIP

Yes indeed - prayers for peace and comfort for the family of Don Shula, his fans and friends.  I am sure there are players that were close to him.

I was so sad when i heard this,,,  He was one of the greatest football coaches ever.  Didn't realize he was that old.  RIH Don with all the other greats,,,  you will be missed
