It will definitely be a while before COVID goes away, and it's sad that so many have died and people continue not to follow directions. I think most people have learned their lessons though and that most people will follow guidelines to prevent a terrible second wave.

The "first wave" is not over. Has nothing to do with "following directions".  Maybe it depends on where you live.  We have a handful of total cases in my county. We have like 2 active cases as of yesterday. No new cases today. Have not checked the stats on recoveries.  Nobody ever really stopped going to town. People can't just sit in their homes. Most of us have to work. People who are retired or on welfare can sit at home but somebody has to work.

I don't think people realize how many hands are in the fire for getting your crap you buy off the store shelves or even have delivered to your home.  What if ALL those people went home as well?  How many people are fully prepared to lock down like a prison confined to their homes? NO ONE works. No doctors, no police, no medical at all, no one at the electric companies, the internet and cable companies, no one stocking shelves, no one making products any where (now you know why people bought up the tp) no delivery drivers, no mail brought to your house, no one working at banks (there goes your monthly check), no one any where.  We all just sit in our homes for 2-3 weeks.  DO YOU REALLY think that is going to make a difference?

While hospital personnel are staging performances of Porgy & Bess the the hallways of ghost town hospitals. And yet we're still on lockdown.

I love it when they test new drugs and they say "_____________ had a ____% recovery rate  than a placebo. Well, I sure hope so. Placebos aren't drugs. They're sugar pills. It would be miracle if a placebo cured a disease.

Also, the latest news is the number of deaths is being adjusted downward because hospitals were counting natural deaths and other deaths like cancer and heart attacks as COVID-19 deaths when they weren't. It also turns out that most deaths are taking place in nursing homes, not out in the public, which shows that it affects those between 85-100, in which COVID-19 could be a secondary cause.  In my county, we've had 15 deaths, all nursing home residents.  Those younger than 85 positives are usually caretakers in the nursing homes. We are well below the DOH benchmark, yet the governor refuses to allow us to open because our officials requested to open and he got very vindictive. The Legislature wants the DOH to separate the numbers but nope. If separated, it would show that the county is good for reopening like the counties around us.  Even a county with more than 1000 positives and over 200 .  deaths can reopen, but not our county.

It's sad when vindictiveness is part of a government body's rules and it shouldn't happen.

He did question  Bryan Bill Bryan, Under Secretary for Science and Technology at DHS when he talked about the effects of sunlight, heat, humidity, and certain disinfectants on the half-life of the coronavirus. “We’ve tested bleach, we’ve tested isopropyl alcohol on the virus, specifically in saliva or in respiratory fluids, and I can tell you that bleach will kill the virus in five minutes,” Bryan said. “Isopropyl alcohol will kill the virus in 30 seconds on the ultraviolet light.

Pelosi claimed at a press conference that  “The President is asking people to inject Lysol into their lungs, and Mitch is saying that states should go bankrupt.  It’s a clear, visible, within 24 hours, of how the Republicans reject science and reject governance.” She said to inject Lysol into their lungs TWICE.

He never said to inject cleaners in to your body.  He, as you said pointed out, said how these disinfectants can kill the virus in under a minute. Could we not do the same thing with "something" where you inject it in to the body and it would kill the virus.  The haters are stupid and are going to use anything they can and twist everything he says. At this point all you can do is feel sorry for them and ignore them.  They are too twisted to even try to explain anything to them.

This whole thing is about much more than some random virus with a 98% survival rate.  I am thankful that more and more people are waking up and realizing that.
