When I had my cat, she would sleep across my neck at night.  One time I woke up to her running around in circles on the other side of the bed. She wouldn't stop. Finally I got up and turn the light on. There was a giant spider on the ceiling and she saw it in the dark.  Just trying to alert me to pending doom, I guess.  Sadly, I'm now allergic to cats.
I hate spiders and I'm really afraid of them! Good thing your cat alerted you and I am allergic to cats too but I have one still.

Cats are so interesting. We do not have one though as I am allergic.

I am like you in respect to cats.  I am allergic, and to some, my experience is that I can be highly allergic.  Others, at times, not nearly so much.  For example, my youngest daughter and her husband acquired a Maine Coon about 2 years ago and I seem to be able to tolerate it pretty well.  However, the home environment might be helping.  They have no carpeting and their furniture is all leather. I don't think these surfaces "absorb" and hang onto the allergens.

My cousin's wife is so allergic she cannot even walk in to a house that has a cat in it.  I guess you could get one of them hairless cats if you really wanted a cat.  But I think they look a little scary.

We used to hang out coats on the backs of dinning chairs.  My cat would hide under the chairs and trip the first bare foot person that walked by.    He also chased my daughter up the stairs on his hind legs.  Like a little monster.  He was so cool.

My cat is old now and she is too fat to jump around like she use to, although she can still catch a mouse if she needs to.  She will kill the mouse and just leave it right there.  She has always been cold and sometimes she goes under the cover with me or she will go get on the dryer when it is running.

My cat used to perch himself on the toilet and pee in it just like we do! It was a riot when he did that. He was a really smart cat. Long gone though.

I was feeling a bit mischievous and found that this was the oldest "off topic" post in the forum that was not locked. I have a few sneaky cats - so it seemed appropriate to comment. I don't expect anyone to respond to me directly since nobody will really even read my remarks, but it will be fun(ny) to watch other people respond to the OP in the coming days since my comment will bump this topic back to the main page.
Enjoy the thread fellow cat lovers!

I caught my cat on top of my refrigerator in my kitchen and when he saw me he jumped off quickly. I may need to enrich his environment more, he only has one cat tree and plenty of cat toys. I have a laser too. Any funny sneaky things your cat ever done? :cat: :cat: :cat: :cat: :cat:

If this the first time the cat has got on top of the fridge? Mine stays there. Or uses it go get even further up and on top of the cabinets. They like to be up high. Not sure why. It is a long way to the floor if they were to fall.

I've seen video that shows no matter how far down a cat falls, it always lands on its feet unharmed.

I'm not suggesting anyone try it though.  :cat:

Our gray cat known as Miss Ariel used to walk around a ledge in our kitchen like she was doing a circus act.  Her sister mudpie just passed away a while back.  She stayed mostly on the ground though.
