Undecided.  Maybe one telemarketing jpb I had.
The only telemarketing job I ever had was for my own company and I loved it.

I don't think of these as "the worst" jobs ever, but detassling corn, picking rocks, chopping thistles, baling hay and walking beans were definitely labor intensive, hot and cold, sometimes wet, sometimes back breaking jobs.  However, since most of those were just part of living on a farm, I consider them as part of the great years on the farm.  We did most of these as a family so we worked hard together.  I have fond memories of these "jobs".

In fact, if my farmer neighbor needs help, I gladly drive the tractor and baler for him as he loads the square bales onto the hayrack.  I enjoy it!

for me it was Telemarketing! I worked for Olan Mills for about a day trying to sell photo packages. After the 200th call of being hung-up on, sweared at, I was like nope dont need money this bad! That was like when you were paid $4.00 an hour, and was young

Customer service definitely seems like it would be a terrible job to me! You're dealing with people who are already likely angry to begin with

You wanna talk worst jobs?

Manual Sewer Cleaner

https://allthatsinteresting.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/worst-jobs-sewer-cleaner.jpg

A Dalit man works in a sewer in Mumbai.

"As is to be expected, sewer cleaners are the individuals lucky enough to clear blockages and other problems in sewers. In India, however, it is common for men to be employed to manually clear said blockages. "

Yep! This is the worst one AND he has no shirt, gloves or mask on so he is getting everything on his bare skin and he is smelling everything unfiltered! Ugh!  :-X
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

Once upon a time, I got a second job as a telemarketer and it was the worst job ever created.

I am sure that for many the worst job is their first job. Often the first job is chosen simply to earn some pocket money. This can be an operator in a call center, a waiter, an ad poster, and so on. These professions require constant contact with strangers, which greatly affects the mental state of a person. Many people cannot stand in such areas of work for a long time, as they get mentally tired. In the case of waiters, they also get tired physically. I don't think that ordinary visitors at least once in their lives thought about how many kilometers a waiter travels in one day (Spoiler - more than 20 km). For me, my worst job is my internship at the university. I was sent to a company where I did not want to go. There I was not immediately liked and the attitude was very bad. When it came to setting up the server, experienced IT people tried to constantly interfere with me (they thought that I would not notice ...). Since I was only in my second year, I did not know many things, so I had to turn to the professionals. I turned to amasty.com for help, and after they helped me deal with the server, I immediately left this company ... It was a terrible time that I don't want to remember :(

I worked in customer service for over 30 years with a local government.  People are so hard to deal with.  If they don't get their way, then you are rude.  Most of the time the reason they can't get their way is because they don't follow the rules and think that they can have whatever they want.  I think everyone should have to work in customer service at least for a little while and see what you have to put up with from people.  Maybe then they would not be such a pain in the butt.

Good post, jhanson. People who grow up on farms are absolutely the bestest people ever. I had a feeling you were pretty great just judging by your posts. You understand that hard work never killed anybody. Plus it makes you feel good and sleep well.  :notworthy:

Have you ever heard Paul Harvey's classic talk, So God Made A Farmer?
