Surveys that look similar
« on: June 27, 2020, 02:53:06 am »
I believe that we are not supposed to take surveys that we have already completed but what about when they look similar but you are not certain it is the same.  Some surveys look the same but for one question or two. Others can be recurring in that the survey might be testing you to see what you can recall or how fast you can find something if you took the same survey another day.

I feel that if the survey site offers me the exact same survey and does not want me to take it again, my completion should be in memory and I should get a message that I have already taken this survey. That has happened and I appreciate it when getting the message.

I don't usually know if a survey is a duplicate it not. When I complete a survey I usually get a decent pay or DQ. Sometimes I get the message "you don't qualify for this survey"

I had that message today, on a Tap survey, that I had already taken it. I don't remember it, but when you take surveys on several different sites and platforms, it's pretty darn hard to remember them all! Now the only bad thing about this particular one is it didn't return back to Tap so I got nothing. No biggie really though, as it most likely would've just been a penny.

It's hard to know what is in the mind of survey creators.  Even if a survey feels similar to one you've taken in the past, I do believe that those one or two changes in the wording or questions have a purpose and it's okay for you to continue with the survey.  I've had that happen recently, myself, and wondered about the purpose for the different surveys being so similar.

I have also gotten messages telling me if I have already attempted a survey, which I also appreciate. I figure if it let's me take any particular survey, then it is fine. I have also wandered if the exact same survey, or a similar one, is allowed in order to track changing attitudes over time or even to check for reliability of responses.

I have found certain parts of different surveys are identical.  Like they cut and pasted a whole bunch of questions from one survey and put them in different ones.

But to address your original idea that we are not supposed to take the same survey again, if they post it in my list and let me get past qualifying, then I am free to complete it.

I've gotten surveys like this . They start out the same . Look the same. But if you go further they are different. Sometimes its the same concept of the survey you did previously but a differen't idea or product you be talking about

I noticed a lot of those on Tap the last couple of days.  I figure it is up to them, not me, to decide if it is a duplicate.

That's happened to me a couple times over the past month or so. Often I attempt I survey I've already completed, but the website recognizes me and DQs me

I got 2 surveys today that looked very similar.  I almost closed the second one because I thought they were the same.  There were some differences.  They both let me finish the survey and they both credited .75.  They boosted up my cash out today. :)

If the survey is offered to you more than one time and as long as you answer the questions honestly you are not doing anything wrong. I done a series of surveys once, I don't remember how many there were, and they were basically the same. There was one or two questions in each that were different. Or a little different. Every one in the study were offered all the surveys.  It actually told us that the survey may seem the same but it wasn't.

I have seen that as soon as I click the link. Like you said, no big deal. Go on to something else.
