New Virus

The only news I've heard about a new virus was that cases of swine flu has been found somewhere.  It was in a foreign country but I can't remember which one.

I saw that yesterday, I didnt check any links but I heard that as of now it is being transmitted from pigs to people but from people to people. But I'm sure it will mutate into more.

If you don't click a link and you don't google it then you can't know anything about it. And it has NOT transmitted from a pig to a person.  They said it is going to and then it will go from person to person and be a pandemic. That is what is so stupid. Nothing has happened but they are fear mongering and already got people scared. Now they need the pig vaccine.

lol Hard to say. Got to step up the game. People are just foolish. They believe what ever the media spoon feeds them. I talked to a guy yesterday who was concerned at first and then said he started digging and doing his own research and realized the media is lying. I done the same thing. It is not hard to do. You can find all the information from official sources and you can add it up and see it is not what is being reported on news stations.

A person associated with family who works in a hospital, a few weeks ago, was telling everybody we are fixing to have to start making a decision as to who gets treated and who is just left to die. We can't handle this. She needs to be fired!  That was a fear monger lie with NO truth whatsoever to the statement.  They had plenty of vents available if needed.  This whole time they have used ONE vent. And had a grand total of 5 that is FIVE hospitalized with cov.  They are being told not to use vents anyway unless the person is not breathing at all because the vent is likely to kill them. A vent is really hard on your body.

When this first started I was pretty worried. But if you read all the news and listen to all this stuff every day you will make yourself crazy. When I started really looking at numbers - the total positive, the recovered subtract the two to get a total active now, the deaths, the number hospitalized LOOK at it and download a calculator to figure percentages for you and it is not that scary. No I don't want to get said virus but I don't want the flu either.  A co-worker died with the flu a few years ago. Heck a bad cold can kill a person with already existing health conditions. If you have issues then you need to stay at home. YOU. Not try to control the entire population and make them stay home as well.  I have a friend who just started chemo.  She said she will be staying home because of a weak immune system. She does not expect the rest of the world to stop for her.

It is not swine flu. That was several years ago. This is something new they have come up with. And the foreign country was China. This cov started in China. Being in a foreign country does not make any difference the way everybody travels every where nowadays.

The way they talk you would think Ebola about wiped us out because according to the media it was a pandemic as well.  Got to pay attention to what you are reading. And use your head. I remember Ebola. There were a handful of cases across the entire world.

What?! Did you read any of the links you posted? It is swine flu. They call it G4, and it's genetically descended from the H1N1 swine flu from 2009. And it has already been transmitted from pig to human. From the CBS News link that you posted:

According to blood tests which showed up antibodies created by exposure to the virus, 10.4 percent of swine workers had already been infected. The tests showed that as many as 4.4 percent of the general population also appeared to have been exposed.

The virus has therefore already passed from animals to humans but there is no evidence yet that it can be passed from human to human — the scientists' main worry.

Have mercy - nope haven't seen this one yet but this brings to mind that things are gonna get worse before they get better.  Hopefully this is a spoof.

I have not seen anything about this virus.  People need to wake up and think about what is going in in this world today.  The world is falling apart.

Scientist and Data professional has always said that to open everything up too soon, the increase in cases is probably going to increase.  It's sad when they listen to an individual who hasn't a compassionate bone in his body.  Trump wasn't working or getting word out about this disease.  Initially they tried to say that this virus only attack people over 60.  What a liar.  This virus is attacking anybody and it doesn't have an age attached to it.

Yes, I read about it...similar to the swine flu of 2009...nothing to panic about yet, but if we have learned our lesson, then somebody should start making a vaccine so that if there is a pandemic, we are prepared...

No, kind of skimmed because they all had dates of 2020. The article I saw the other day made it sound like it was something new. Maybe it is not. I have not seen it again and do not care enough to look for it.  Maybe it is the old thing from years ago. If so then that just proves what I have said before and it is all FEAR MONGER.  The swine flu from years ago did pass from human to human.  If it can pass from a pig to a person then a person can pass to another person.

lol  Too bad they can't vaccinate for stupidity. This thread has nothing to do with cov. Covid19 is a VIRUS not a disease! Can't really take anybody seriously that wants to blame all this on Trump because they are so full of hate for Republicans that they can't see anything but hate when they see that person. You better wake up.

When this first started Trump tried to close our boarders and stop the first people who were positive from coming back to the country. He was ignored and they brought them here anyway. But you don't want to see that.

It is easy to want everything to stay closed when you can sit on your butt at home and still draw a check. The rest of us are not that lucky. Some of us have to work if we want a paycheck! We can't keep the whole country shut down forever.  As far as the only attacks people over 60 that is not true and it never was true. They say the same thing about the flu. People over 60 are more susceptible for having complications. I never believed that kids could not get a RESPIRATORY VIRUS! But then again I don't just believe the media.  And the really sad thing is you are so bent on blaming everything on Trump you want to say he said all that. And maybe he did repeat what the media said or what he was told but if you have a living brain cell you know the MEDIA was touting all this stuff from the start.
