That is quite the story....remarkable that the kitty survived!  I imagine it is quite skittish now, or at least that is what I would expect after such an ordeal.

i am not surprised i just heard about this and cats are quite the animal thus the term a cat has nine lives

Wow! That is just an amazing story. I am shocked that the cat didn't drown from being in the washing machine while it was going for 12 minutes. Poor thing.

I swear I am starting to believe cats really do have 9 lives.  I have seen cats do some amazing animals that I thought would either kill or injure them and then act like not much has happened.  They are amazing little acrobats and speedy little fur *bleep*.  Just this summer I scared a cat out of my backyard because there was a baby bunny nest with 2 little ones in it and that cat took a running start and cleared a 4 foot fence in no time without problem. It entirely disappeared in a matter of seconds!
