What a heart breaking story.    The helplessness of the girlfriend to not be able to help her boyfriend; not being able to be with him....so sad.  For the boyfriend, how awful that he was sick yet not "sick enough" to get treatment in the hospital. 
What a great guy to send the letter intended for her future boyfriend.  Tears are rolling.
