Well I order from Amazon quite frequently and other than getting desperate for something and paying too much for it I am usually ok with the service.  I ordered a certain tortilla chip though and got a different one which would have been alright but the one I got was fully open.  It was so stale (yea I couldn't resist trying it) that it had to have been put in the box like that knowingly.  Darn who would have thought.

I have found that om amazon, there is a section for chatting with a live agent. I find it more faster and effective for contacting them and getting things taken care of that I need

If I were you, I would call amazon customer service at 888-280-4331 and complain like crazy. You were taking a chance by tasting that tortilla chips because who knows if somebody put something dangerous in the open bag. That's just terrible that happened to you.

Not necessarily.  Stuff like that can get damaged and busted open during shipping. If I thought it was packed already open there is no way I would have tried on. Hopefully they will replace it for you.

That is all you can do.  Unless something has changed.  A few days ago they were not accepting phone calls at all.  The only way to speak with anyone was by online chat.

I doubt very seriously that is the case.  And complaining like crazy won't get you as far as just being nice and telling them what happened. I def would not have tasted of anything.  I doubt that anybody done anything malicious and packed it open.  Most likely it was damaged in shipping.  And most likely that was not done on purpose.

It is easy if not properly packed for things like chips to bust open in the shipping.  I still do not think I would have tasted it though remember a few years back when so many things were getting stuff put in them and you usually were not even able to tell they had done it.

Amazons usually good when it comes to return items even if opened. Usually they have you send it back to  them they replace it with another or give you amazon credit or money back on your card which ever you bought it

I've had this happen to me as well -- Either the seller is both an Amazon seller & an Ebay seller & is taking advantage of the free postage offered through Amazon fulfillment, OR the product you purchased on Ebay was cheaper on Amazon, so the seller on Ebay purchased it on Amazon & had it sent to your address.  I've had both situations happen.

I have had wonderful service from Amazon on all kinds of product lines....yard fencing, vitamins, household products, kitchen appliances.
Contacting customer service is usually quite painless and they are quite willing to make things right.
