What's closing or has closed in your locale?
Here, everything looks the same to me, but I don't drive the whole town so the only information I see is what is posted online.

Over 26,000 US restaurants have permanently closed their doors since pandemic lockdowns began in March 2020 !!

I am glad Walmart IS open. Most mom and pop shops are too expensive.  I don't really know of any stores local to my county that have closed. But we were also never locked down either. I think some places were forced to close temporarily but they have opened back up. Even the one that said they were selling out and never reopening has opened back up.

Hi! :) :D

I'm thankful I haven't had to close my business when so many others have. Being in New York City things are very expansive here so understandably some businesses has permanently closed their doors. This virus has forever changed the way we live our lives. Covid 19 reiterate that any thing can change at a moment notice. Sometimes you just never know. :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

We've had a lot of restaurants and bars close permanently, even after they reopened with limited capacity. Lots of gyms closing too.

With that extra $600 and people making close to $1000 a week (more than double what they made working) a lot of people in my area bought their own home gym stuff.  Guess they were too stupid to know that cash cow was gonna run dry LOLOLOL  Anyway, they have no need for a gym now.  I am not sure how many were in my town, I only really know of one, and as far as I know it is open now. I know several who never went back though.

I work in a restaurant. We were closed down for almost 2 months, well, just open for take out only with limited hours. I never worked during that time, only a select few did. I wasn't eligible for unemployment either. We are back to fully open now, and business is booming, however, we have had to close early many days, and some days not even open at all, because we are lacking employees. There are several businesses in my area (very small town) that are hiring and there's just no takers, or they only stay for a short time.  I worry a lot about COVID19, we have 16 active cases at the moment in our county, and most are here in my town.

We not ever have to close, but our business did drop a lot. We provide services for essential workers, so I guess we were also essential.  A lot of small businesses run on such a small margin it is not a surprise that this put them under.  Sad when so many have worked so hard.

Restaurants and bars have closed & even a couple of solons but mostly the other business are still a live for now. I can't wait til things go back to normal because that will be the time when business & jobs will pick up again . Even though so many business died so many will start up again once corona is gone and business start to fully get into swing
