When I drive by my (national chain) gym the parking lot is packed.  Due to age I'm not entering as a high risk, but a lot of people are ignoring the warnings and attending.  The vaccine is for 75 yrs and older right now here, after it reaches my age group we'll see how the gym visits go for seniors.  Terrible with the insurance benefit going to waste!

I have been saddened to see several of my favorite restaurants closed but encouraged by the ones that are thinking outside of the box and fighting to stay open. We have had hundreds of restaurants that have purchased tents, outside heaters and converted their parking lots/side walks and street space into extended dining areas. Boozhy restaurants that never would have entertained the thought of delivery or take out now embrace these venues. Reduced prices, advertising and please to the public have brought success to some of these restaurants. Restaurants from colder places (New York, Chicago, etc) have begun moving into our community. Life will go on for these entrepeneurs. There has been so much more positivity in the new year as opposed to the loads of negativity last year.

You can give credit to that useless former president Trump! The deaths of the people & the peoples’ businesses & livelihoods is on his head!

You really need to work on your hatred.  Keep believing the lies you are being spoon fed. It seems to be all that keeps you going.

How long is Joe Biden's grace period before we get to start blaming every single death, illness, injury, pothole, rain cloud, and fly-in-our-soup that occurred during his Presidency on him?

Oh, that's right. His grace period lasts until there is another Republican in the White House - at which time all fault will leapfrog from Trump to the new Republican and completely bypass Joe and Kamala. Sorry. I keep forgetting that rule. I will try really really hard to remember it for the next time this ridiculous double standard crops up.

But seriously... when the economic, moral, and social downfalls that are a direct result of his many executive orders have a noticeable detrimental effect on our society and country - will I be allowed to call him out on it? Or am I still a racist deplorable bigot at that point?

Depends on where you live. Or may high paying start at the top jobs are hard to come by. Almost every place in my town is hiring right now. But nobody is going to work when they can get unemployment and several hundred dollars in food stamps every month and make way more than if they got a job.

Since I don't go out because of Corvid, I really don't know yet what all has closed.  When I get my shots and am free to explore again, I will  probably be surprised.  :o

I admit there are thousands of restaurants or business closing due to the virus.  But not all business are closed simply due to the virus.  There are two fairly large restaurants in my town that have closed and people are blaming the virus, but if they would remember last year both were trying to sell the business because they wanted to retire, got no buyers and closed.  It had nothing to due with the virus.

The economy of America has suffered a lot from this pandemic. Hope you won't have to sell your business because of the pandemic. My friends own a small restaurant in Ocean City, Maryland and they tried to keep it open, however all restrictions almost bankrupted them. Honestly, I don't know what business owners are going to do in the following years, but I personally will consider to invest only in a business that could adapt to lock downs and other restrictions. I've searched the web for ideas and found some interesting moments.

When it comes to the resturaunt, I would immediately buy some shares so that I could get passive income later. But right now, with all the restaurants around closed, you need to invest in government shares. You know, there is this thing, MicroAcquire, where the deposits and features of interest-bearing investments are listed. Read carefully about what traders and brokers write about - it's not so easy to invest money and get a huge return. You need to approach such questions wisely.
