Covid19 possible vaccine
« on: September 03, 2020, 05:21:27 am »
It was said on the news this morning that it is possible they will have a vaccine on november 1st. I really hope so and I hope it works. I would like to go somewhere and not feel that I am living in armageddon   ???

It will not be possible to have a vaccine that has went through all the testing needed by early November.  I doubt there will be one that has been safely tested by January 1.  Vaccines must go through all the regulatory steps needed to make sure they are safe and effective.  Politicizing vaccines is a very dangerous strategy, if you want to call it a strategy rather than just evil.

This is a rushed job for political reasons.  It takes many years and testing to find a vaccine not just a few months.

I will definitely take a vaccine once one is released that I feel has gone through all the proper testing and appears safe and effective.  I will do this once I hear the majority of doctors and scientists are in agreement about the safety and efficacy. I hope by this same time next year we are in the process of more effective treatment options and that there is a vaccine being widely distributed with widespread agreement in the medical community that it is the one!!!

Even if there were a vaccine by November 1, which is unlikely, it will be rationed, with health care workers getting it first, then seniors, etc. So I doubt anybody will get it much before the end of the year unless they are a health care worker.

I hope it is not being rushed for political reasons; no plans to get one anytime soon; unless  scientists, and public health officials deem it safe to do so; although a senior will not be rushing out to be the first in line for this; want to see how it works and what are possible side effects.

I completely agree! Too scary to take a vaccine until it is completely tested.

I really want to see a covid 19 vaccine become available that I can trust and believe it to be effective. I read this news on social media and I think November 1st is too soon. I feel this is being rushed and is politically driven.

Most people likely won't get a coronavirus vaccine until the middle of 2021

Whichever vaccine wins regulatory authorization, it will likely be in short supply once it's cleared for public distribution, officials and experts warn. | CNBC

Even if they did come up with a vaccine by November. There is no way i would trust it yet. There is still so much about covid 19 that the medical community doesn't understand. I will wait at least several more months before even considering it. :rainbow: :peace:

Getting a shot that is suppose to get rid of the Covid 19 is somewhat iffy.

You do know they already have several vaccines and are already testing them on people - right?  There are multiple sources that are saying they WILL have a vaccine by fall.  Will it be safe?  Who knows?  Will people flock to get it - most likely.  More power to them.

It isn't.  94% of the total covid deaths had other issues that is most likely the cause of death.  Here is the thing - if you go to the doctor for pretty much anything you are tested for cov.  If you go to the emergency room you are tested whether you want to be or not.  So here is the situation - a person is in a car wreck and they are taken to the ER and are already unconsciousness.  They die from blunt force trauma. BUT when they arrived at the ER they were tested for covid.  Whether the test is really positive or not they are told the test WAS positive.  SO you now have a covid death even though cause of death was head went through windshield!

It is not suppose to get rid of it.  Just like the flu shot does not get rid of it. Heck it does not even prevent it.  Notice how we have no flu cases right now?  But as soon as everybody starts getting the flu shot then the flu is every where.
