Positive side of 2020?
« on: October 14, 2020, 03:54:43 pm »
I have been working from home, full time since the middle of January. This has allowed me to be uber organized. It has given me time back normally wasted on commutes, work interruptions, showers, clothes choices/cleaning. I have managed to finish off two large projects: I added a four hundred square foot flagstone patio (approximately) and more than doubled the size of my newly expanded waterfall. I have done more things around the house which has made relations with my wife better. I have discovered additional streams of income. I have been reading thirty minutes a day, learning two foreign languages for thirty minutes a day, and working out an hour every day. I have trained my one year old retreiver and felt good enough about it to get him a playmate that I am currently training. I wash my hands(and sanitize more), do not have dishes in my sink or over flowing laundry.

Good for you Tresbn00!  Your list of things you've done since January is impressive.  Being uber organized is a great trait!

I paid off my car loan and one of my student loans. So I can officially state that I am going to close out the year 2020 with only one student loan remaining!

Good for you.  This has been the worst year of my life.  First this virus that has caused me to lose a very dear friend.  Then the death of my 4 year old grandson.  So as you can see it has not been a good year for me.

Cathy to lose 2 special people, especially a 4 yr grandson,it wouldnt matter what yr it was.Even tho no doubt 2020 has been quite trying.Im afraid it will only get worse till God steps in.

There is a hope in the bible Jesus spoke about RE a resurrection in the NEW world where Gods kingdom will be the earthly government.I hope you and I are there and can welcome back many loved ones that have passed.

I guess that everyone's healthy, but everyone I know is depressed as f**k, so that's great.

You are a good role model.  There are so many positive sides to 2020 if we look deep enough.  I love all the creative ways people have found to connect with each other.  I look forward to the day when we all feel safe again.

The change to vote out a retarded President voted in by retarded people!

I would not use the word "retarded" in regards to person voting for the candidate whom they thought was the better candidate. Would you like that word used about you? I certainly don't think a "retarded" person could be elected president, or run for office for that matter. A person who has been elected president should be respected even if you don't agree with them. It's also likely that a retarded person could not become a billionaire businessman who respects others and loves his country.

Does it take one to know one or are you just being a name-caller for fun? It's not very attractive, tantricia44. :-[

If you posted things that would draw attention to facts as to why someone in the highest position in the country is detrimental to our nation and believed that they should consequently be voted out of office, or why you're worse off than you were four years ago, you could then be considered a thoughtful person for giving their honest opinion.

Name-calling indicates ignorance of the facts since your only defense is a scathing offense, e.g., calling others "retards" for not having your beliefs or your preferences.
