I read this on a post today, and thought I would share.

I have been wearing a mask in stores (and limiting my trips) since March when this whole thing went down. I’m not sure how being considerate to others for the common good is now being mocked by some who are calling it “living in fear”, but it needs to stop!!!... When I wear a mask over my nose and mouth in public and in the stores/Supermarkets/Pharmacies/Offices - I want you to know the following:
📷 I'm educated enough to know that I could be asymptomatic and still give you the virus.
📷 No, I don't "live in fear" of the virus; I just want to be part of the solution, not the problem.
📷 I don't feel like the "government controls me". I feel like I'm an adult contributing to the security in our society and I want to teach others the same.
📷 If we could all live with the consideration of others in mind, the whole world would be a much better place.
📷 Wearing a mask doesn't make me weak, scared, stupid or even "controlled". It makes me caring and responsible.
📷 When you think about your appearance, discomfort, or other people's opinion of you, imagine a loved one - a child, father, mother, grandparent, aunt, uncle or even a stranger - placed on a ventilator, alone without you or any family member allowed at their bedside.....Ask yourself if you could have helped them a little by wearing a mask.

I agree with your post 100%, I am tired of the VIRUS been in control and of people in general not thinking of others and not taking care of themselves and others and spreading the illness.

You can't spread what you do not have.  That is the biggest thing people are too dense to grasp.  If you are sick you need to stay home.  Not be out and running around in public.  If you are not sick there is no need in you wearing a mask.  But if it makes you feel better then by all means wear one.

I just can't believe how long this has gone on - I have basically stayed home consistently since March but have started back doing some things out of necessity like going to an in the office dr's appointment because I have an open wound on the back of my left leg due to edema.  Awesome like things were not bad enough - also finally gave in and got my blood work done which I was WAY over due for so I try to be as careful as possible and I guess that is all any of us can do.

Double thumbs up Pstovall and thank you for providing a sensible, non-reactive response. I believe it is all about getting along with one another and if not wearing a mask makes people uncomfortable than, by all means, wear a mask. There was a news story yesterday about a young lady that went into a Starbucks with her mask under her chin. When asked to comply with the store's mask wearing policy, the young lady went into a tirade about the state requiring masks, Black lives matter and Trump twenty twenty. After getting her coffee she went out to her car, researched the state mask requirements and felt compelled to come back in to the Starbucks and conduct another temper tantrum related to the state requirement rather than complying with the store policy.

No matter what the state mandate is individual establishments can make their own rules. If you don't want to comply with that stores requirements then don't shop there.  A little FYI the black lives matter has nothing to do with Trump. People are just stupid and basically this country is doomed. People need to take care of themselves and not worry about what everyone else is doing.

I have noticed the majority of people who wear a mask do not wear them correctly.  So it is the same as not wearing one.  I saw a woman wearing scrubs and had a health care badge on her shirt, wearing a mask, pulled the mask down and rubbed all over her nose wiping her nose on her hand, and went back to touching stuff on the shelf.  Every time I saw her she was fondling her mask.  Less than 10% of the people you see actually have the mask over the MOUTH and their NOSE.  If you got your nose hanging out there is no sense in wearing it.

The mask is just a mental security thing.  It will not stop the virus.  But if it makes you feel safer to wear one then that is fine. Do some research on how many of the people who have got sick wore a mask.  Do some research on how many who died wore a mask.  The majority of people who have got sick were wearing a mask.  It did not make any difference.
If masks would stop the virus and keep it from spreading then why are places like NY and CA, where they have the most strict policies requiring masks, also still the most infected?  Oh because the mask does not work.

But it is kind of pointless to discuss it because this is just one more thing we are divided on and neither side will be swayed.

I can't believe we have to fight about a virus.  :silly: Is there no end to this constant bickering on FC? When did all this infighting start?

We should all be entitled to our own opinions even if they conflict with others' opinions. Can we not agree on that? :confused1:

Today is the 7 month anniversary of "15 days to slow the spread"...  the virus has over 99.9% recovery rate. Slow the spread has been achieved, IMHO it's all about control.

It's a joke at this point, I think.  My sister-in-law was found to have had it & had zero symptoms & didn't even know it, she is asthmatic as is her son...if you get it it's not necessarily a death sentence.

Yes, I have CoronaVirus Fatigue, it's all quite tiresome.

Adam and Eve had their own opinion to side with Satan and rebel against God.They doomed the human race.

The Pharisees hated Jesus was going to be a king of Gods kingdom and was Gods son...Jesus scolded them.

I think you all get the picture.

If ALL the other states followed NY rules the virus would be in better control.

Its very contagious and masks, social distancing DOES work.PROVEN....so if some wanna be ignorant so be it.

Entitled to your own opinion when NOT correct is why the world is the way it is.

Quite frankly I'm just sick of virus being mentioned completley at this point. Tired of doctors getting there 15 minutes of fame every week day on tv its just annoying when they really just keep saying the same stuff over and over again. Can't wait til we don't need masks. Last but not least sick of political figures cramming covid down or throats like they have a clue in what to really do when they don't. Wear a mask and social distance . All i hear now when political figures speak about the virus or anything not really news worth is "duhhhhhhh".

I agree with being sick of hearing it. But the thing is most of the "in the know" people flip flop so much it is sickening. One day they say this and the next they say the complete opposite. Another reason people don't believe any of it any more.  And they have been caught flat out lying.

Fact is wearing a mask does NOT work. But if people want to wear them that is fine. Two of the most strict states for enforcing masks and locking down are California and New York.  Both of those states are in the top 4 in the country and their numbers are climbing every day.  IF wearing a mask worked then these states would be at the bottom but they aren't.  This is fact.  And with a few mouse clicks you can see this for yourself.

If people would do some research on their own, and think about what, as you say, is being shoved down our throat and ask some questions you would see things a lot differently. It amazes me at how easily so many people have been brainwashed and just believe everything they see on tv.

The worldwide preaching work of the TRUE God has stopped now for months. It is still being done thru the mail and online, but the TRUE God Jehovah protects his people and also tells us to listen to authorities when it comes to masks and social distancing.

If you dont think the TRUE God is Jehovah and cares for mankind then you keep on doing your own thing.

If you are wise you will become shrewd then and listen to council.

There is nothing more important to God and his son then getting the message out RE the kingdom.Math 24:14.

As i said he protects his people and those that obey him and this virus is real.

Yes the people in Italy, Germany and other countries are tired of the lockdowns, and have started to revolt against it...

I had not heard this but it does not surprise me. Things are a mess every where.  This was never about a virus.
