We have a pumpkin for each family member big enough to carve but, sadly, this will be the year that the kids are too busy to partake in carving and/or roasting the seeds. I may just carve one on Sunday evening for old time sake (over a glass or two of wine). Our county is not allowing trick or treating and the weather looks as if it may be agreeable for the first time in five or so years. I guess we will just have to have a party with our puppies (thirteen month old and five month old), watch some scary movies (the younger pup watches the screen), and relax. So hard to imagine not making all kinds of plans and I guess I should be excited about not spending money on costumes, candy and alcohol for the parents that are chaperoning their little ones.

Yes.  We currently have two, one mini pumpkin sitting on my fireplace mantle & a medium sized one that was going to go on my porch, but has been sitting uncut & natural in my living room-- it has a nice long stem on it.

No one seems interested in painting or carving them, so there they sit.

Not having a pumpkin, remember seeing one outside the neighbors til June.  If it was not real why not take it in the house.

No. I've never bought a pumpkin and don't intend on ever buying one.

Definitely! I grow them every year. I have over 25 in the house and there are still more green outside.
