Celebrating the same however doesn't look like we will be shopping thanksgiving night - that had become a family tradition.

I'll be working on Thanksgiving Day.  On the weekend we will have a small turkey dinner with just my husband, son, and myself.  W didn't get to go to Iowa to celebrate with my Mom due to the spiking COVID cases near her.

A family member asked me to go to her house for Thanksgiving.  She lives about an hour away.  My mom is planning on being there (she lives in a nearby assisted living).  My spouse is high risk  so I'm very undecided.  (I really do not think my mom should be going at all)

I suggest your mom not going nor your spouse, don't take any chances. I was going to have my parents over but I changed my mind and decided to take their dinner to them.

I will be staying home and cooking. I will not have visitors or visit anyone. Just spend time and enjoy the day with my immediate family. May put the Christmas tree up.

I will be spending the day with my daughter. We visit one another often so it is like being with someone in our own house.

We pick between Christmas and Thanksgiving to travel north to family and this year it is Christmas, so we will be home for Thanksgiving. We invted an older church couple over and I will be cooking a full meal. I love cooking.

I decided the risk wasn't worth it so we are just going to stay home.
