Teachers should be able to choose, my niece would rather go to school, but she teaches special ed and many of those kids have compromised immune systems.  She has teacher friends with compromised immune systems, they will be happy to go back as soon as they get vaccinated.  Everybody has opinions, but unless it is your own health then you cannot tell someone else they have to go back to school and not online.  They are working very hard on the online and some teachers are doing very well at it.  I think some people forget, there are also kids who do not do well even in regular school.

You don't know me either hensgirl. And I am not critical. You are a snowflake and can't handle someone not agreeing with you. And you will respond to me again.  You have said over and over you won't respond to me. If you are not going to respond then grow up and don't respond.  And I could not care less about your "bubble"
And spanking kids is not violence. But not teaching kids how to act is why this country is in the mess it is in.
As far as advice, I was not giving you advice. I don't care how you raise your kids. But a little FYI when you post in a public place anyone can respond to you. If you really want to "ignore" me then hit the "ignore member" button and you won't see what I post. But you won't do that because you like drama. lol

Schools have been is session in my area since the beginning of the school year in September. I'm thankful that are teachers really want what is best for the students.

The schools have been open here as well. But I think all students have the option of remote learning if they choose to do so.  I have talked to teachers and the majority of the kids doing the remote learning are failing.

They actually can. Why should teachers get a special pass? Most jobs if you do not go to work you get fired and replaced with someone who wants to do the job and is willing to show up for work.

And you are right about everyone has an opinion - but most people can't handle that.  They want everyone to agree with them. But the fact is the entire country needs to be opened back up.  If you are scared then stay home and find a way to support yourself from home. Don't expect a check off the backs of the working folks.

I also respect a teacher's decision to return back to classroom or teach remotely. My son has teachers that do both and they seem to work well in both scenarios so far.

If their area offers that option I guess it is fine. But if the schools are opened up then teachers should not be allowed to just sit at home and say Oh I will work from home and still get paid. They should either get some faith and return to the classroom or fine a telemarketing job they can do from home.

My daughter in law is a middle school teacher and she has been teaching this whole school year. She is very concerned because so many kids and/or their parents test positive.

I have heard so many different things said about teachers and the pandemic, my personal opinion is it should be the teacher's decision if she or he wants to go back to the classroom it is there and their families health to consider also. I Don't think they should be forced or threatened{but opinions are like a**holes everyone has one }So please try to be civil when you post

Where is their union?  I don't think teachers should be forced back to school.  Who wants to pickup viruses from kids.

lol Thought you were not going to respond to me any more.  Talking about me is the same thing. Even if you use "she" trying to be vague. For someone who doesn't like drama you sure are full of it. Every post you make is drama.  I like the way you feel the need to make sure everyone knows you "ignored me".  Yeah we will see.
FYI I don't want to find you. I have not looked for you nor any one else. Unlike the physco who has admitted to trying to find me.

Then why should truck drivers go to work? Why should delivery drivers go to work and bring your crap you order online to your house? Why should grocery store workers and retail store workers go to work? Why should warehouse workers go to work? You know the people who keep this country turning. If teachers are scared to do their jobs they need to find another line of work. As far as unions go those all need to be busted and banned.

There are a few states telling the people they can get rid of their masks.  I do hope the people aren't that stupid.  That is dangerous.

This is a legitimate concern for those in the classroom and some in other businesses.  These concerns for their health also brings on stress.  I'm not in that situation but I try to keep myself safe and healthy.  Hope things work out for everyone going thru this.
