After working for 24 years in the same office, I was recently offered and accepted a new job in a completely different field and start later this month. Hoping to get in at least another 15 to 20 doing bigger and better things.

That's cool; I'm happy for you. It is also very brave to quit the job you have worked for 24 years. I don't know if I could do that.
Can you tell us more about how your boss reacted to your dismissal? How do you plan to prepare for the interview?
I also plan to resign from the company I have worked for the last 5 years. I'm a little worried about the upcoming interviews. I haven't been looking for a job for a very long time, and I've already forgotten what it's like and what tests are waiting for me.
In one of the sites, I read behavioral interview questions and answers. I hope this will help me pass the interview and find a job.

Wonderfully. I just came off of my initial probation period last week after 3 months on the job. It has had a few stressful situations, but I have great support system both below and above me. I've been able to help out a lot of people and the steady paycheck (as opposed to never knowing when or if I would get paid) has been an absolute blessing. Thanks for asking!
