There are still so many people who will not take the vaccines and making other people sick.  I say if you aren't going to take the vaccines, then stay away from people period.

Agree.  Our school also has a large number of handicapped children, so they are extra risk at this point because they cannot get a vaccine.  I think I am also leaning towards not getting the kids vaccinated  at this point to see how it works on the first one to get it.  I am sure they are all immune for a while anyway.

Good to hear you are better.  It might be better to wear a mask.

I have been completely vaccinated  since February and always wear a mask we hardly go anywhere, and when we do it is usually to places where they are all wearing masks.  There was such an outbreak at out school among the children who are to young to get the shots, even with wearing masks and following all the other precautions...I feel like we will not get a handle on this until everyone who can gets vaccinated.

If you've had the vaccine, then how can the unvaccinated make you sick??? :dontknow: Does that hypothesis really make sense to you?  ::) Note that I did not say theory instead of hypothesis because: "In scientific reasoning, a hypothesis is an assumption made before any research has been completed for the sake of testing. A theory on the other hand is a principle set to explain phenomena already supported by data." from Merriam-Webster.com

So do you have any facts to support your case that the vaccinated can get sick by being exposed to an unvaccinated person? If that is actually the case, why would anyone bother getting vaccinated?

I agree. I am vaccinated, but I am completely against any mandates at all.  If the vaccine works, then those that choose not to be vaccinated should be left alone to make their own choice.

I still do not understand why people will not get vaccinated.  Don't they understand that they can contaminate their family, friends or a stranger.  SMH

I am so happy to be back on.  I have been out for 3 1/2 weeks with covid.  Luckily I am fully vaccinated, so it was not to bad.  I got it from my grandson who I pick up from school and watch daily.  Poor little guy had it much worse than me, he is to young for the vaccination.  Before we were well and out of quarrantine his brother and sister got it also.  Since I was already with him, I stayed with the other to also.

I don't care what you think, and I don't want to hear about it...but I think people unless they have a disease that prevents it are very selfish in not getting vaccinnated.    To help all the people who cannot be.  The personnel at their school who didn't think they need to vaccinnate  are now out of jobs since they passed it on to so many of the students at this grammar school.  Luckily only one child was hospitalized so far.
3 1/2 weeks seems to be a long time especially if you were vaccinated.

I still do not understand why people will not get vaccinated.  Don't they understand that they can contaminate their family, friends or a stranger.  SMH

The reasons are that the government shoved this vaccine through too quickly, that many people have had awful side effects and/or died, it only might lesson effects, but doesn't stop the virus.  That if masks work, why the need for a vaccine. If the vaccine works, why the need for masks.  That the virus has about a high recovery rate. And many other reasons. And how about just plain old respect for people making their own decisions on what to put in their body.

And before someone complains, I actually have gotten the vaccine. Not because I am for mandates in any way, I wanted to travel and needed it to avoid quarantine. I am not an advocate of it.

Glad you are feeling better, I think everyone should be able to get the vaccine because they are not immune to it, I had there's an age limit on it and I disagree with them saying kids don't have to wear a mask.

I think whether people get vaccinated or not is their choice but if a person chooses not to I wish they'd be persistent and consistent about masking up and sanitizing hands.

New :

If you are not vaccinated, you pay for care if you contract the virus .. this is in Singapore.  How long till the US adopts this policy?   I am still waiting for the protein based vaccine NovaVax .
