That's exciting.  I'm glad to know the date.  I'm so looking forward to evening walks in the daylight instead of dark!

Wow you are knowledgeable on this subject. I don't like time shifts I feel they are non-useful nowadays, they could hurt your heart and other.

One more week, I can hardly wait.  I am ready for spring, would like to get started outside on my garden.  Have started some seeds in the house already.

I know we will lose one hour of sleep, but the daylight will be longer and I like that.  I don't like that it gets dark so early now.

The correct term is “Daylight Saving Time“ and not “Daylight Savings Time”

What Is Daylight Saving Time?

Daylight Saving Time (DST) is the practice of moving the clocks forward one hour from Standard Time during the summer months and changing them back again in the fall. The general idea is that this allows us all to make better use of natural daylight: moving the clocks forward one hour in the spring grants us more daylight during summer evenings, while moving clocks back one hour in the fall grants us more daylight during winter mornings. However, DST has many detractors—and rightfully so! (Read more about this below.)

Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at 2:00 A.M. On Saturday night, clocks are set back one hour (i.e., gaining one hour) to “fall back.”

2022   Sunday, March 13 at 2:00 A.M.   Sunday, November 6 at 2:00 A.M.
2023   Sunday, March 12 at 2:00 A.M.   Sunday, November 5 at 2:00 A.M.
2024   Sunday, March 10 at 2:00 A.M.   Sunday, November 3 at 2:00 A.M.
2025   Sunday, March 9 at 2:00 A.M.   Sunday, November 2 at 2:00 A.M.

This is an excellent article with WWII references about DST and how it was adopted read it here:

This is always a helpful reminder for me as I could never remember each year for some reason.

This weekend is finally it.  I like daylight saving time the best.  I like time in the evening with a little light to get things done in the evening.

Daylight Savings Time all year round??
« Reply #29 on: March 17, 2022, 01:40:33 pm »
I just read this yesterday online. It's from CBS News if you want to confirm.

Washington — The Senate on Tuesday unanimously approved a bill that would make Daylight Saving Time permanent beginning in November 2023, a significant leap forward in the push to ensure an extra hour of sunlight at the end of the day all year round.

The bill, known as the Sunshine Protection Act, earned 17 cosponsors from both parties in the upper chamber and was passed by unanimous consent. Senator Marco Rubio, a Republican from Florida, has long been a proponent of making the clock change permanent and led the push to pass the bill.

"The good news is if we can get this passed, we don't have to keep doing this stupidity anymore," Rubio said on the Senate floor. "Hopefully this is the year that this gets done and, pardon the pun, but this is an idea whose time has come."
