What time is the June 2022 solstice?

This corresponds to Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 9:13 am UTC. A solstice happens when the sun's zenith is at its furthest point from the equator. On the June solstice, it reaches its northernmost point and the Earth’s North Pole tilts directly towards the sun, at about 23.4 degrees.

It seemed like the days are getting pretty long here already.  So does that mean that after next Tuesday the days will start getting shorter?  I love the evenings with light to go do walking or take the kids to the park.

But there is one each year, so this "old" post works again!   When is the next one? The next June solstice will fall on at 14:58 UTC (9:58 a.m. CDT) on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.   8)

Summer What summer? Look at all the smoke (smog) coming from Canada. You cannot even go out for a walk. Hazy skies. Sun- Where are you? Do not get me wrong: I still love summer!
