need help with the excitement some please!!!! I was very thankful for thanksgiving but am just not seeing the christmas spirit yet!!!!

i am excited for my kid to have a christmas this year but me i feel blah because it isn't like it was when i was a kid

I think the drab of the holiday is a little OFF this year because a lot of people have lost jobs and are not really feeling "christ" like this year! Although christ is and should be the only reason we celebrate the christmas season but I ALWAYS feel better giving than receiving!
