So...how many hours of sleep do people get on average per night? Do they feel that's enough for them? What would be people's ideals?
I find it interesting that studies say we need 8 hrs. sleep/night, yet not very many people seem to follow that and seem to be okay.... For me, 6-8 hours is typical.

I usually get between 7.5 and 8 hours a night, although I'm always tired no matter how much sleep I get.

I sleep about 10.

I go anywhere from four hours to eight hours of sleep but it varies on how I feel the day before

I got 12 and a half today, but didn't sleep hardly at all yesterday, sometimes it varies, typically we are sposed to have 7-8, but too many of us only get 5-6 very unhealthy, probably eventually cause a heart attack, if we do not start getting more rest

I generally get 10 hours on the weekdays and about 6 on the weekends. The funny thing is I feel more energetic after sleeping less. Which is the opposite of what is supposed to happen :dontknow:

I normally am in bed 8 hours but I don't sleep well at all ...normally sleep around 4 or 5 hours.

I usually get 3-4 hours and feel great. If I sleep too long I'm dragging all day. I seem to function better with less sleep and more coffee.

every night I get about 5 hours of sleep. Getting 8 hours of sleep is not possible for me because I get up early to go to work and get home late from work. I work a lot of overtime but it is always athorized by my boss. I love my paychecks but would like to get more sleep. Sleeping 8 hours sounds like a dream to me.

Depends. On days where I have to get up somewhat early (and I am NOT a morning person so getting up early means before 10-11am for me, lol) I will probably get about 6 or 7. Otherwise I will generally get 9 hours or so of sleep a day.
