So a bit ago I was at Starbucks and I ordered a latte. The lady behind the counter started making her way to the backroom and I asked ''Where are you headed? There's no kitchen that way.'' so she came back towards me and slapped me. Wtf was her problem? I thought it was completely uncalled for and spoke to her manager and after things were settled, she got fired.
Now, I know women want to be treated like men in the workplace, but that doesn't give them the right to just go around hitting people.

Huh?
-
Sounds like someone needs an attitude adjustment. lol. That aside, just because one woman acts that way in the workplace doesn't mean that all women do.
-
that made me LOL. She's got issues.
-
She needed to be fired. This brings up the question of where is service and special treatment for the customer. Seems like not anywhere you go do the workers treat you very pleasantly anymore. Almost like it was an inconvenience that you walked in for service
-
Anger problems I'd say.
-
we are men we are never to understand their behavior you may have just had bad fortune that day
-
This isn't really a gender issue (I guess if it was a guy you would've been punched instead lol). This was a person who was in the wrong for doing something completely unacceptable in the workplace. I think we all can agree that no one regardless of gender should be going around hitting customers and expect to remain hired. Maybe she did it on purpose to get fired.

Just because one woman does that doesn't mean all women are like that. Sounds like anger management problems to me. :BangHead:

I think she may have some issues that need to be addressed. Why did she do that anyways? Does she have an issue with you or what? Either way, she may be just plain nuts or she felt like you insulted her. No one has the right to be put their hands on you regardless of the situation. I think you handled the situation well and did Starbucks justice by ridding them of the garbage.

How is this a gender issue??
-
Lol that was funny.. how does someone just randomly slap you? :peace: lol
-
The woman was probably having a really bad day, but that doesn't justify the reason for putting her hands on you. That was absolutely wrong and uncalled for. I don't see how this is a gender issue, because a man behind the counter of that same Starbucks could've slapped you that same way. I don't think it has anything to do with gender. It is a human character issue. What did you do to make her slap you? There is always a reason behind everything. I find it quite odd that the woman would slap you for just no reason at all. Did you offend her in any kind of way? You may have done that and not realized it. You may want to re-evaluate the situation and see if you could've prevented it from happening-by maybe being polite to her. You know, sometimes us customers at food and drink establishments tend to be unkind to the workers behind the counter especially if we are having a bad day ourselves. We need to show them the same respect that we would show our family and friends.

Getting slapped by an employee is uncalled for, but so is that comment. That's sexist and I take offensive to it. I dont cook in my household, my husband does because he is a professional chef, but he understands that we're equal. He doesnt own me and doesnt have a right to tell me what to do. If I had worked there I might have laughed at the comment or gone to the manager and do a little reverse on the standard customer/employee relationship and reported the comment as sexist and offensive, and gotten you in trouble...but I also have a MBA in human resource management and know the ins and outs of sexual harassment rights.

So the lady got a hold of my number somehow and called me to apologize and said she chose to act out of anger and didn't think. It's fine, in all honesty. I support a woman's right to choose, turkey or ham on my sandwich. She cussed me out. :-/
Still don't see why women are so uptight.

Either I'm misreading the original post, or the majority of people in this forum really are morons.

I assume you meant the post to be taken offensively, but most posters on the first page didn't even catch that-- some even agreed to a point you clearly didn't intend to convey.

I meant no such thing. If it is taken offensively, that is not my problem. I was simply speaking my mind. Women are the scourge of the world, so being slapped by one in the workplace wasn't a surprise.

No, actually. I don't. Nice edit to your post, btw.

Are you a woman by any chance? I don't quite believe you're a man. You seem rather...

ok maybe it's just me but didn't the "women belong in the kitchen" phase run out in like 1960's when women were granted the right to vote?
