I love watching 80's movies, but my all time favorites are "Sixteen Candles" "Better Off Dead" and "She's Out of Control" :D
-
Top Secret!, yeah.
-
The 1980's was my favorite time for movies. I also love Sixteen Candles. I was just talking to my husband about all the great movies from the 80's!!. We could not believe how many we could come up with.

I'd have to go with The Breakfast Club, although the Outsiders was a great movie (and book) as well. I also loved Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, lol.

Monster Squad

Hmm... that's tough. I'd have to probably go with either ET or The Empire Strikes Back. I'm a bit of a sci-fi geek.
My wife made me watch some of this REALLY cheesy 80s movie last night called Killer Klowns from Outer Space. She said she watched it a few times growing up in the 80s. Talk about some bad SFX and acting. I couldn't take much more than about 10 minutes of it. lol
-
My favorite 80's movie i guess Ghost by Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze.. For me, it's unforgetable..!!!
-
The Color Purple
Coming to America

Oh yeah, definately Coming to America. I always annoy my friends by repeating the soup joke at the end, lol.

I concur! At Halloween time I bought a 20th anniversary edition that includes a really good documentary.
-
The documentary, "El Salvador: Another Vietnam," because it allowed us a rare opportunity to see how our government wasted our tax dollars to make innocent people in a foreign country perfectly miserable. Maybe if more people had seen that film, our government would never have been able to invade Iraq, over 100,000 Iraqi civilians would still be alive, and we would be able to provide a good education and health care for each American child.

Favorite 80's movie either Star Trek IV the Voyage Home or UHF
-
I will have to agree with many of those choices. I think The Goonies, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and Dirty Dancing are classics.

Wow...no one mentioned Somewhere in Time or Say Anything. What about When Harry Met Sally.
