Title: Work From Home, What Kind of Work You Do?
Post by: debrar on March 14, 2010, 09:53:17 pm
I do many things to work from home, transcription, pay per post, GPT, PTC, MLM, Blogging.
All set up on certain days to complete. I would run my self ragged if I did this every day all day long. I did it one time and had to stay in bed for 3 days to catch up on rest. What do you do working from home? :peace:

I have been a freebie trader for over a year now and I make around $500 per month. It is not a lot but it sure helps put food on the table during these tough times. I have had my share of scams and it is no picnic. Good luck to everyone.

I am really enjoying FC, and am super close to cashing out.  I am also doing a network marketing thing where you can totally eliminate your grocery bill!  Don't let it scare you because it is really easy.  Check out https://www.mpbtoday.com/freefood81 and be sure to watch the video(s).

I have a full time job and I'm studying to get my life and health insurance agent liscense but I do FusionCash and another similar site every day before and after I come home from work. I also do mystery shopping (mostly by phone on my days off) and I would really LOVE to do medical transcription from home. I went to school for medical transcription a few years ago and never got hired for it so if anyone knows any legitimate sites for at home med. transcription please let me know lol. I also sell stuff on ebay to get extra money.

What is GPT?  I probably know, but my mind is going blank.  Also, what is a "Freebie Trader"?

I'm getting my own website domain, and my friend is setting it up for me.  Hopefully that should generate some extra income from some ideas I have.  It's all in the baby stages right now.

Yes there is work you can do from home without putting cash up front, and there's work that is available besides surveys and sites like Fusion Cash. You are mainly setting your self up to be an Independent Contractor, or there's places on the web you can work for a company and get paid without putting cash up front. Look for Mturk, CloudCroud, QuickTate, ShortTasks, SponsoredTweets,Seed.com, and many more.  :peace:

There are so many programs on the Internet.  It is hard to sort through them all my yourself.  It is wise to find a mentor who is using programs that are succeeding.  This will save you much time and possibly much money.

So far I've just signed up for a bunch of survey sites, and now fusioncash.  I've heard cash crate is good, too.  I might check into that, but for now I'm devoting a lot of time to this site until I have it down!  I would love to get paid to blog, as I do that quite often just for fun.  Are there seriously legit pay-for-blogging sites out there?

If you can build a nice list of referrals, you can make some good free money from the pay to click sites.  Most programs are arranged so you can make more money by getting referrals, just like Fusion Cash.

I have as regular job to earn a living, but I do sites like FC to earn some extra money. Besides FC, i like Cupid Cash, My Points, Inbox Dollars, and a few more GPT sites. I also do a lot of survey sites, but it is getting overwhelming and I think I am going to cut back on some of those. I've tried a few other things, and am now working on a website, but nothing has been substantial yet.

I joined Mturk April 30th of this year, and have made over $2600. At one point I was averaging $30/day!!  You just have to find things you're good at, and put in a few hours a day. Took a lot of trial and error before I learned what HITs approve and pay quickly and which ones were scams. What I love about Mturk is they'll direct deposit your earnings, and you only need $10 to cash out.

:o Yikes!!!! Ya' godda be kidding me when anyone says they doing nothing if they are not puling in a paycheck.I do more work  since being put on permanent disability over working for someone else 14 hours daily.  I think you can be creative and find tons to do from home if you take a significant look at your surroundings.  Productivity, doesn't mean cash in hand, but what you produce or practice.  It is up to yoou to feel happy in your daily avtivties.  Volunteer, do something for others, take a broom, sweep or find good online forums like FC and say something worth while. Also, when you do find FC and they post $3 mnthly for posting 30 days"...They have explained themselves.  I had a good laugh at those who were calculating $3 a day, while right on top of the page FC staes their case!:)
Have a great sweeping of a day!

i lost my job last year, then this year my mother passed, and now my boyfriend has lost his job, so there is nothing coming in, and i 've had to move cuz the place was rented by my mother
now i'm looking all over the web to find sites where i can generate some income, and tho i've tried many, and am signed up at about a dozen different survey sites, and even tho FC seems to hsve promise,  too many of the others ask for money, and the ones that don't, don't really accumulate funds quick enough
i am not unwilling to put in the time or do the work, but does anyone have more reliable sources for income to check out
sources that are not demanding a fee, even if there is a discount
i can't afford to pay these fees, and i'm desperate for information that will give me some new direction

What irritates me is that I would be a great work at home customer service rep but I had to file bankruptcy after losing my job of 20 years and they check your credit report so you don't get hired.  It makes no sense to me that the people that need the help the most are discriminated against in such a way that makes it harder yet for them to work and pull out of the poverty.

I'm trying Fusioncash, surveys and now... Chacha but we'll have to see how they all go.

How is ChaCha? I haven't head too many good things about it.

I work for ChaCha online and love it! You have to be able to pass their test to be hired. Also, you have to be able to type fast and give the customers answers within 3 minutes. It is not bad at all, it just takes someone who is smart, accurate...which the spelling is extrememly important with ChaCha or your % will go down. You have to be able to have a high % on your answers at all times and also the payout takes a little longer than other sites, but then again that depends on your devotion and the effort you put forth, which could be said for all work at home jobs. I love ChaCha because you can work anytime of the day or night you wish and for as long as you want. They have direct deposit in which you can be paid once a month or if you wish you can do the Pay Me Now, but you have to get a bank card for that.
Good Luck!

Don't forget Ebay folks.  I have made a substantial amount of money selling items on Ebay.

Ive tired ebay a number of times was doing okay for a little while but the problem with ebay is everyone is looking for a great deal, people dont like to pay for shipping and everyone wants to make money. hard sometimes

Wow, I love you MM banner.  Very cool.   I haven't heard of ChaCha.  I will investigate.

Thank You!  ;)
Yes, if you have time I would hope that you will look into ChaCha. If you don't like it, there is another service called KGB, which is similar to ChaCha but I have heard that they are harder to be hired upon.
Good Luck and All the Best!

I am a Consultant and technical writer for small businesses and non profit organizations.  Work has slowed down a great deal because of the economy, so in between time I do FC, InBox and other surveys.  I have tried many WAH programs, but the better ones cost money which makes it harder to recruit.  You also have to be very careful and not step into the scams.  There are tons of those out there, so heads up if you are thinking of doing a home based business.

I do surveys for several companies. I do microturks and microworkers. I have sold used books to cash4books. And traded in used & new videos at amazon for credit. That pays for my printer ink. And I look at websites, at paid to click sites. Come here to FC and use mypoints and swagbucks. I also help out at my church and dust for a friend, and do crafts and sewing. There are lots of ways to make some cash online, I found a lot of my spots by doing web searchs. I don't pay anyone to make money. There are lots of good sites just be really careful in picking which ones to join.

I work for a political service in their telecommunications department. (Right now, I'm working in the mailroom because I lost my voice...ugh). I also sell merchandise out of a very popular catalog which I know you have heard of because they have been around for like one hundred years. I also sell my artwork and crafts at various conventions around Virginia and Maryland, and hope to get into North Carolina soon. I hope eventually to make art my full time career. I am also studying to become a voice over artist and maybe get to work in commercials, animation, etc. Right now all my jobs are part time, but as I said, I hope to have a career in the near future. :cat:

I work on sites like FC but I am looking for ways to make a more steady income online. Currently I'm looking into training to become an affiliate marketer and I'm also looking for legitimate home businesses. I've dabbled in the Freebie Trading thing a bit but it seems like you have to put out a lot of money to get started with the trades and you have to spend a lot of time on the forums in order to get people to trade with you.

I have thought about working from home, but it seem like everything I look into wants a credit card to start or for me to buy some sort of package. I would like to do something that would bring a suitable income, but haven't had any luck yet. I used to sell AVON, but had to quit when I lost my job. It was good for extra money but usually spent more than I made.

Another quick note, guys-- if you want to get paid for posting and blogging, and you have friends on Facebook, join MyLot. You get paid for everything there, no limits, and they DO pay.  Look me up there---Chrystalia-- or look me up on Facebook-- Eva Landry-- if you're interested in freelance writing. If you have excellent writing, spelling and grammar skills, you can make as much as you want. Right now I am coasting at 3000.00 a month, working 30 hours a week-- but I am going to bump it up to 50 hours a week so I can pay my employees in the offline biz.

I'm retired and very lazy.  About the only thing I do is daily surveys, offers etc and not much more.  I prefer time over money...

I'm trying Fusioncash, surveys and now... Chacha but we'll have to see how they all go.

How is ChaCha? I haven't head too many good things about it.

I tried ChaCha for a couple of months last year. Some people have said that they enjoy it and that it is great extra money. I never got paid. It pays horrible horrible wages and I kept getting emails stating that my answers weren't good enough or something like that, even though I know they were. I do research for a living and was typing out answers to questions as opposed to choosing the bad answers that were being given to me to give people. I finally just gave up and my balance was at around $200. That's another thing, you get paid once a month and have to have a balance of $300 or more. I wouldn't recommend ChaCha to anyone really.

I make most of it writing, have for years. MyLot is a social networking site where you can do tasks, and start discussions and talk to your friends etc. If you have a blog already, you can tie it in with MyLot. I took the night off the other night and spent a few hours posting, made .62 cents. You get paid based on site revenue, and the quality of your posts, but at minimum it's usually 1 cent per post (not including the Hi, how old is everybody and other non-useful stuff). Minimum payout is 10.00, I thin, and you earn 25% of referral activity. If you like to chat with friends or use forums a lot, you can make pretty good money there. I probably only put in about 20 replies to people the other night and got the 67 cents

Thank you for the reply.  $3000 a month for writing is decent pay.  You must have a good network.

$3000 a month sounds quite impressive. Do you need lots of friends on Facebook, to make that kind of income, apart from the writing skills?

I have an affiliate marketing business and I participate in sites like this one.  I love doing surveys b/c they are sometimes fun and pay pretty decent.  I've had to drop quite a few cash opportunities from my list since I started doing this December 2010 b/c of some sites either not paying, not offering enough earning opportunities, or simply offering way too low pay for too much time/work but I'm very satisfied with FC.

Very few people actually find me on Facebook. I have a Facebook so I can send notes to friends. I spend time on MyLot, talking to friends, and I post there on how to make money writing articles the way I do-- I give people suggestions, and when friends on MyLot send me private notes with things they have written, I give them suggestions to improve their writing-- MyLot pays to post, so I have an excuse. I make about 1000.00 a month at iwriter, writing articles, and I have private clients who pay me for articles, and between them I make the other 2000.00 or more.

Sounds like being a writer is the best way to work from home. But is there anyone on here that works from home doing these new customer service jobs? Seems like Apple and DirectTV are getting into the mix and want workers from home. Is this new or news?

I do affiliate marketing and I'm about to start doing forex trading, I wanna do a little more research on it before I begin but I'm really excited about it b/c it seems to be a big money maker.  I LOVE working from home.  I get to be a full time mommy and I save so much money on gas (I drive a SUV), lunches, work clothes, etc.
