waht do to say when an auto-insurance company call to you .....??

If it's the one for the offer, you should probably sound genuinely interested. I haven't done it yet. Maybe you can get a quote for it, you might end up saving money. And if it's more then you already pay, just turn them down. s

If you are interested in getting a quote then be prepared with information such as your desired amount of deductible, collision, uninsured motorist, etc. because they will likely ask you how much you want on all those things.
If you are not interested in auto insurance then tell them that you found insurance through some other place so they don't bother you again.

I've never been called by an auto insurance company unless they they were my own after I filed a claim. Tell them you don't have a car if you don't want to be bothered.
