Title: The Joys of being a homeowner
Post by: kcasteel1284 on March 26, 2010, 02:58:30 pm
My wife and I just bought our first house 6 months ago. Last Sunday morning a drunk driver plowed through our neighbors garage and our garage taking out a total of 3 cars. On top of that the driver and his buddy were able to pull the car out of the wreckage and drive away before anybody could get out to see what happened. Fortunately they caught and arrested the guy and he is sitting in jail. Unfortunately it set us back $1250 and a wasted week of vacation.

He just bought a house and some moron damaged it...

At least it was only $1250 and not a lot more. Do you have homeowners insurance?

Well congrats on the new house, I know whenever I move into  new home, I usually get bad and it takes a while to settle in. I'm sure by this time next year you will be happy and hopefully enjoying your home. good luck!

Sorry to hear about your house.  Sometimes it does suck being a homeowner.  It seems like we can never get ahead bc some thing is always wrong.  Atleast they caught the guy.

Where you inside the house with your family when it happened? I'm sorry to hear that, but congrats on your home, it should give you some comfort to know that it is your home now, and your family is safe, despite everything that happened. I wish you luck. There's nothing like the feeling of coming home from a long day of work, and unlocking your Own front door, and seeing your family all together in your own home safe and sound. Peace out!
