I signed up for stamp.com and smartdiet.com trial offer and was charged 15.00 for stamp.com and 65.59 for smartdiet.com what should I do :BangHead: :BangHead: :crybaby2:

Try your best to read the Terms of Service with fine tooth comb when filling out offers that require you to use your credit card, and if it doesnt sound like something your interested in, dont do the offer.
-
i read the TOS. and they never say anything about charging your CC in advance for a trial offer, some r finding out the hard way, like i did. i think it is pretty crappy that a lot of them say in the TOS that they will charge your CC if you dont cancel after the trial is over. however most charge as soon as you put your CC # in which is BS.
-
I believe you can call your CC company and cancel it. Not sure.

Edited.

Texans read the rules -- see you in 7. I am getting pretty tired of having to edit 15 posts a day because you can not read the rules, even though it is posted on every form and there is a note before you submit your post.

TRIAL OFFERS: If the plan that you select includes a Trial Offer (e.g., the "4 week No-Risk Trial"), this offer allows you to use our service without charge during the period of time specified in your trial, beginning from your commencement date, before incurring any responsibility to pay the usual service fee.
FOR THE MONTHLY SERVICE PLAN AND THE TERM PLAN, THE FIRST MONTH IS NOT A FREE MONTH AND SUCH MONTH IS BILLED TO YOU. TO AVOID THE SERVICE FEE FOR THE FIRST MONTH, YOU MUST CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT WITHIN YOUR TRIAL PERIOD. TO AVOID THE SERVICE FEE GENERALLY FOR YOUR SERVICE PLAN, AS APPLICABLE, YOU MUST CANCEL YOUR STAMPS.COM ACCOUNT BEFORE THE END OF THE TRIAL PERIOD, AS DEFINED IN YOUR OFFER.

That's exactly why I will not do anything that asks for my CC number. :-[
-
I do alot of things that require CC # BUT..I ALWAYS read the TOS first to see wut Im getting into b4 I jump right in
-
I might eventually, but since I'm still a newbie and learning...definitely holding off for now. :P
-
yes i most def. would not use a CC because of the fine print they will charge u for stuff and u won't know it was charged
-
I've NEVER given out my cc#, but still have a $25.00 check coming. And I'm working on my next $25.00. You just gotta be very careful on what info you give. There is one where they ask you for your cell phone #. Your cellphone # will be charged!!!! I never did it because I read the SMALL PRINT!!!!! Hope this helps. :)
-
All the monies I've gotten are from free offers. No credit card needed. =D :)
-
yes that kools don't use the CC
-
See you in 21.

I suggest that from now on, when forced to use a credit card (actually, when forced to submit any information this is useful) you should utilize http://www.fakenamegenerator.com/ since the credit card numbers it generates don't hash to proper cards, ensuring that no one will get charged for them. Since there are numerous companies that pretend they won't charge you but then do, this is a great service (although questionable in legality).
Note: If you want to use this for illegal uses such as buying something and not paying for it, I assure you, companies check into this and make sure they get their money (which would be impossible with these fake numbers) before sending out stuff... It's really only good for sites like this, since they'll give the go-ahead to FusionCash to add to your account before finding out that the number was wrong.
WOW, you just violated a BUNCH of FC's TOS!
First, you aren't forced to give anything, especially a CC. It's called, if you're not genuinely interested in an offer, DON'T DO IT!
You are to give truthful AND legit information when doing offers. And since you are saying to people to use a fake name generator, that is against TOS, on any site. Not just FC.
And if FC finds anyone using fake info to complete offers, you will not only have your account deleted, you will not be paid!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ A helpful read for especially you!
Oh and I've used my CC for many offers here & for offers I really were interested in. I have YET, to have a charge for something that I did NOT agree to first! It's called reading EVERYTHING when doing an offer. Not just going to the site, checking boxes, filling in info and then your finished. You HAVE to read, EVERYTING!

i wouldn't use CC if i was any1
-
thats why its good to use prepaid credit cards like I do I have never had a problem with any credit card offer cause i use prepaid credit cards

I agree....I've never been charged for anything I didn't agree to. I use my credit card all the time on GPT sites because I enjoy getting paid a little bit more than what the freebies offer...but I know exactly what I'm getting into, because it's too important not to read the full Terms of Service on every single offer you do.

stamps.com did'nt charge me anything when i joined with their free trail... now afterwards i did get charged for 1 month... due to a boo boo on my end not theirs lol. but as far as smartdiet.. read the fine print!!! i was gonna do the offer untill i read it in full... it is something i was interrested in but do not have that kind of money right now with christmas so i did'nt do it... it states on the main page on your left hand side... that when you join your card will be charged... it is what.. like 9.00 a month? i forget the price, but anyways.. it states that you pay quarterly... and when you join that is what they take... it shows the whole amount that will be charged, so i'm sorry but as far as that one goes that is on you hun for not reading the offer fully...

just to add to this to let all know also.... if you are found frauding the site.. and that is what you would be doing by giving out fake info to advertisers... they have the right to let all sites know of what you have done. there for you could lose any accounts you have with any paying sites and be banned from joining ones you have not... there for if you do not want to give out the info. do not do the offer... would it be worht losing your payouts on all sites and being banned for an extra 5 bucks?..... and to add to it.. the site and advertisers CAN press charges agreast you for fraud and you can be slapped with a largeee fine and or jail time. so i suggest do not ever give fake info, and do not repeat offers on sites to try to get more money as it maybe a diff site. but it's still the same offer... diff email or not.. the advertisers know and that is fraud also!

prepaid cards are a no no.. as if most advertisers find out you are useing them they will ether not pay you, ask the site to ban you, and or reverse any payment that they did ok for you....... just a fair warning of what can happen from useing them... this way you know...
-
prepaid credit card are allowed first off so get that straight. I even asked adevertisers if I could use them and they said yes.
-
While i personally dont use prepaid cards, UNLESS the gpt site says NOT to use them, or there is a statement in the TOS on a particular advertisers site that specifically states you CANT use one then as far as i can see its fine...just because i dont use one doesnt mean someone else cant..
what works with YOU may not work for someone else..so my take on prepaid cards is...AS LONG AS YOU READ THE TERMS OF SERVICE ON THE GPT SITE AS WELL AS THE ADVERTISERS SITE...its none of my dang business what card u use...enuff of us are on various gpt forums to know the deal with prepaid cards by now....thinkin some of yall want to be mini moderators not all sites or advertisers are the same..

Message We have made a major change to our terms of service. You are now able to use prepaid credit/debit cards to complete offers on SquishyCash! Of course we ask that you use these cards responsibly...
..but as u see...some sites DO allow them

Yup. The same happened when I signed up for Netflix. There was a hold on my account through the debit card I used. None was taken out, was just a hold of funds for the amount of the package I signed up for. Which was for verification purposes only. The hold was released in 3 days (per my financial institutions TOS) as each one is different and a hold may release sooner or a few days longer.
