I believe the OP might be asking about a link to an article or something else and NOT a link for personal gain. If I am wrong, then I stand corrected.
smokeejo, in the 'Post reply' on the second row under icons for Bold, Italics, etc., you will see 2 other icons (3rd and 5th in second row) that can be used for Hyperlinks or FTP links. The hyperlink is the one you would use for an article or anything like that. The second one is for an entire file. Just copy the address of whatever it is you want and insert it. You might want to try it and Preview any post to make sure it is done correctly.

Hello, lost of places will work by just posting a hyperlink such as your referral link on FC

http://www.fusioncash.net/?ref=smokeejo

If that is not possible and you want to make it clickable and just have some text showing not your link but have it take them your website you would use this.

<a href="http://www.fusioncash.net/?ref=smokeejo">CLICK HERE</a>

Just replace the link with any other link you want.. and the CLICK HERE for any other text you want... if you use this one all they would see would be the CLICK HERE

Also remember that some forums do not use HTML code :(
