We got married in a courthouse. We didn't tell anyone we were getting married because we wanted to have a big ceremony in the summer. That didn't work out yet and my family found out we got married.

we got married in the courthouse and there's a funny story behind it. in january '08 for my birthday my boyfriend of 5 years bought me a diamond ring. we had been living together for 4 years and i was 5 months pregnant with our daughter so we decided we would call it an engagement ring though we really had no plans to get married. then in the middle of july we were planning a vacation and were looking at when my son was going to start school and i noticed that the friday before he went back to school was august 8, 2008. i mentioned it to my "fiance" and he jokingly said that would be a great day to get married (both of us have always used the number 8 as our "lucky" numbers- he likes that on its side it is infinity and it was always my jersey number when i played sports) two days later he brought the date 8/8/08 up again and said we should find out how much it costs to get a marriage license. i called the courthouse and found out that we could get license and ceremony for $100. the next day we got a gift card in the mail from the jeweler's where he bought my ring and i saw a gorgeous dress in an ad for a local store on sale for $25. we decided these were signs we shouldn't pass up so i went and bought that dress and used the gift card to buy his wedding band. we told my sister and brother and his cousin and cousin's wife and 9 days later we were married. 2 of my cousins found out about it and "crashed " the ceremony and then we all went out to eat. it was simple cheap and perfect for us. then on sunday we went to my aunts and she threw up a lovely party with all of our friends and family

My boyfriend and I have decided to get married and plan to do so at the courthouse.  We have been together for 4 1/2 years now and are ready. :) None of our family lives close and money is tight. We did get a nice ring set and I have picked a beautiful custom dress. :)

In a church before God, is the best way to be married,  if you are making a covenant, you make it before God, this is what marriage is about to start with, Marriage starts in the Bible, they talked about it in Genesis, and why everyone wants to make their own rules, is beyond me, not saying you can't get married other places, this is not what I am referring to, but the relationships, marriage, divorices, samesex, why even call it marriage, why not just call it hooking up, or getting together for a while, please. Marriage is a covenant between a husband and a wife before God, that is the definition, you are making a covenant before God to be with your spouse. Not put them away.

I WAS MARRIED ON A BEAUTIFUL HILLTOP NEAR A SMALL CABIN USED FOR HUNTING WHERE WE HAD OUR RECEPTION.  I RODE MY HORSE DOWN THE AISLE AND HAD A WONDERFUL VIEW.  THE OUTDOOR WEDDING WAS A LOT OF WORK BUT IT WAS LIKE A FAIRY TALE COME TRUE FOR ME I BELIEVE A BRIDE AND GROOM SHOULD HAVE THE WEDDING OF THEIR DREAMS BECAUSE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FOREVER. MY HUSBAND AND I ARE RELIGIOUS BUT DO NOT ATTEND CHURCH REGULARLY SO WE OPTED FOR THE GREAT OUTDOORS SINCE GOD IS EVERYWHERE.

We got married in the court when we first got married. However we have been married for 5 years and just renewed our vows in our church and it was amazing i wish we could have done it in the church the first time but at least we had the chance to do it with our priest in our church

I got married in parents front room with only our parents grandparents and siblings and our two friends that stood up for us present.  It was small and quiet, but nice we couldn't afford a big wedding,  but it was just as nice as the big wedding we all dream of.
