Title: Proposal stories?

I'm not engaged (yet-fingers crossed) but my bf and I have been together 2 years and he joked with a friend of his who's planning to propose to his girlfriend...he said that instead of a ring he should get down on one knee and prresent her with a gift card to Zales or some such store, so she could get exactly what she wanted....

I love a good proposal story as much as the next gal, so what is yours?
