Title: Celebs without make up
Post by: shernajwine on July 02, 2010, 07:42:35 pm
I recently came across several pics of celebrities without make up and I must say ANYONE has the potential to look like a movie star with the kind of work these people get done over with.  I used to look at pics of those beautiful women and feel so crappy about myself but now I know...I actually look better than most of them without make up! LOL

What do you think??? Does this perfect image effect the way women grow up thinking about themselves???

Yeah, Pam Anderson is pretty rough. That's what all that sun does to your face.

its difficult for us to wrap our heads around the fact
that celebrities are human beings because they are
paraded (or parade themselves) around like gods and are
beautified by makeup artists.

if you really look at some magazines and some star photos,
they actually look very abnormal (to me, anyway!) ...to look
absolutely flawless is just so unappealing to me. i want to see
a scar, or a pimple, or something. something that tells me you're
not a bleak, empty manikin...

What is being shown on TV is unfortunately an extension of our belief in perfection. Celebrities are people too and often they have many of the same issues like us.

i remember i wanted this perfect skin like they have on tv,, then we got high definition tv and i was so surprised they dont have perfect skin, they have big pours and wrinkles just like everyone else, it made me feel so much better about my 41 year old skin..

If all of us had make-up artists, hair dressers and fashion designers to dress us and do not forget photographers to make our photos hot..we all would be stars..It a false idea of beauty..Beauty truly is in the inside the outside is a shell and you can certainly be hot on outside and ugly on inside..If you think you are beautiful then others will too it will flow off you confidence is catchy.. ;D :bunny:

"My teacher says that real beauty is on the inside."

"That's just something ugly people say..."

HaHaHa! I don't really believe that but it's one of my favorite lines

It's always amazing to see the difference.  Most magazines airbrush photos until the women don't have a single pore.

I don't think its amazing.  Everybody has to realize these people are human too and also have all the problems that you experience.  When you see these people on magazines, they have on inch thick makeup and are air brushed to death.  So remember when they get out of bed, they too look just as bad or worse than you.

I remember the first time I saw Pamela Anderson without make up, I was like "...wow". But I agree that it makes me feel better about myself. Knowing that they're not really perfect but just like everyone else.
