I try to cook something every day for my husband. And Sunday I cook him a big meal and for anyone that wants to stop by. I didn't cook much when I worked outside of the home. Now that I can't work I try to cook and try new dishes on him. He seem to like that and if he don't like the new dish he don't say too much about it. Bless his heart. How many of you like to cook for your family or even your self.
-
I use to cook every night when I was married and then when my husband left I lost the desire to cook. Now after 9 years I finally want to cook again.
-
Yes I do :) I even have a blog of recipes that I make!
-
I havnt cooked in awhile i bake more usually when i cook it would be a simple pasta dish or when i make steamed eggs i should work on my cooking/baking skills since im thinking of being a pastry chef:)
-
Sure I cook, that is everything but oysters, they don't need cooking.
-
I cook I bake for my family everyday and make huge dinners on holidays..I love to know their stomachs are filled with good homemade food made with love :0)
-
i didn't start cooking until i was 21, but since
then i've taught myself quite a bit and i like to
exchange recipes with friends &family. i like trying
new things -- but i haven't really perfected anything
yet. my fiance and i have completely different tastes
when it comes to food, so its a little difficult pleasing
him with my cooking (which makes me feel kinda bad,
but he assures me its not me). but still!
i love going down the cookware+utensil aisle at target
or walmart and just gazing at all the shiny tools :o
i can't wait to register for things when we finally tie
the knot! haha.
-
my husband cooks he likes it i don't!!!!
-
I just started really trying to cook. My ex used to push me outta the way because "he knew what he was doing more than I did" :bs: and I lost some confidence... but now my new honey lets me do my thing, some things he likes, others not so much. I just learned to make AuGratin potatoes- not from a box- and homemeade mac n cheese....knowing you can get things right makes it worth the effort!
-
I cook quite a bit. I haven't felt like cooking much recently, but I still end up cooking anyway!
-
I started cooking after my marriage and i like to try variety dishes everyday and my husband loves to eat my dishes
-
I like to cook, although my best friend has an even greater passion for it. She likes to watch Food Network and dreams of going to culinary school someday and perhaps working as a chef. She's got me even more hooked on Food Net. and has been teaching me what she knows too. Some days we'll actually make a meal together so she can show me hands-on how to make delicious meals. We joke about one day where I got home from work late and didn't have much to prepare: Chicken thighs, fresh mushrooms, milk, and onions. But like a "Chopped" champion, she was able to put together a quick chicken stroganoff using those ingredients (Chopped is a show on Food Net where contestants are given about 4 ingredients (usually in unlikely combinations) and are asked to make a dish using all of the ingredients within a fixed amount of time).
-
Yeah I can cook, but for some strange reason I can't bake even when I follow the recipe to a tee. :dontknow:
-
I love cooking, hoping to become a chef :)
-
I love to cook! but only if I have someone to cook for. My husband loves everything I prepare and that makes it more fun. I try to come up with good tasting, healthy foods.
-
Not well...
-
I love to cook. Maybe we should start posting our favorite recipes! I made some delicious banana bread the other day. I am more than willing to share!
-
I cook every night. My husband works out of town some nights so I try to have dinner for my son and myself even when he is gone. A Homecooked meal is the best at the end of the day!! Very comforting!! I love to have dinner with my family!! Its a great time to catch up!
-
I like to cook a lot. Sometime I take a couple of my favorite things and then put them together and see how that tastes. Sometimes it doesn't taste great and I feel like I've wasted my time.
-
My husband cooked when we first met. He's was from New Orleans & he cooked cajan food. After, he got sick, I took over the cooking & I can't make cajan food but I can cook stew, steak, chicken dishes pretty well. I've cut down on cooking though since my husband had passed but, when I get that cooking craving turned on, you can't stop me.
-
I try to cook but my daughter is teething and my boyfriend works at night so cooking can sometimes be difficult.

-
I'm not a fan of cooking and would rather nuke something in the microwave. I cook things once in a while when I get cravings. :) I like to bake though! Haven't baked in a long time.
-
Yeah I can cook, but for some strange reason I can't bake even when I follow the recipe to a tee. :dontknow:
I know how that is! I can't cook, can't bake..can read & follow recipes but I don't know... I cook for my dogs and they don't complain...most of the time. (Shadow has so many small kitchen fires and now when she smells something burning, she knows it's probably her food and she'll make a sound like she's really bummed! lol) I also have a business of fresh baked dog cookies that uses my original recipes and they sell so fast I can't keep up with them. Several dogs in the neighborhood have looked in my windows or tried to come in the house for some, it's so funny. Lately though, I've found some gadgets that have helped my cooking. 1.) The Nu Wave oven---portable, lightweight, so much easier to clean my messes out of than the oven, and it has a timer that automatically shuts the oven off (cool!). It doesn't heat up the kitchen to use and doesn't take alot of space. I can actually cook with this! 2.) The GT Express, it's so portable I throw this in my tote and take it to work to make hot sandwiches, wraps, pizza, etc for lunch. Just about everything cooks in about 7 minutes and I haven't burned anything in it yet, I use it at least once a day and it's super easy to clean. (Alot of people are selling these cheap on Ebay because when you buy one from the infomercial, you get a second one free so they sell it.)---just don't try making brownies in it (the instructions don't say you can) just don't even try! ::)
LOL...Congratulations on your dog cookie business...Awww, I wish I had my own business, but I would make cookies for humans, LOL....Nu wave oven huh? Sounds like just what I need. I don't know if it will improve my baking skill's though, lol. Thanks for the info.

i cook at least once a day! my husband leaves to work at 4am but i wake up with him and make him coffee and toast before he leaves. then i make breakfast for the kids when they wake up. even if they just want cold cereal, i still make them something to with it, like fruit juice smoothies or a bowl of fruit. for lunch we keep it simple, sandwiches etc. when my husband gets home at 2pm. then for dinner at 6pm, i make a full meal: chicken/pork/beef entree, a side (potaotes or rice) a veg and bread/rolls/etc. i also bake at least 3 times a week making cookies, cakes pies or cobblers to have for dessert. every once in awhile i won't have to make a full meal because my husband will grill shrimp/steaks etc but i still make the side dishes
-
I cook for the 2 of us most of the time now that I an retired and she seems 2 like it that way a lot .I just maid home noodle chicken soup last night.it was good if u as me .But u did not so I will tell u it and way.
-
I can cook, but don't like cooking unless its something I really want to eat. I cook as less as possible. Baking is easy and when I do bake I prefer from scratch instead of out of a box.
-
My grandparents and my parents were chefs! but I can't even follow the receitps!I am a big shame to them! :P so I don't cook and I tried but no one liked my cooking. But the good point is that I am slimmer than them because I don't know how to cook so much delicious food to get myself full every meal!LOL ;D
-
Yes, I cook and bake. I love home cooking because I know the ingredients and I can make the recipe the way I like it.
-
I love to bake for my husband. I make homemade pies and breads.
-
Yes I do., love trying new receipes and sharing them with friends!
-
I do half of the cooking and all of the cleaning
-
I do all the cooking all the cleaning and the washing of the dishes. No I am not single, married with eight children, two still live at home. Only thing I hate is my spouse want to eat beans all the time. :peace:
-
yes.. i do cook very tasty....
-
Every day, all the time. Fast food costs too much if you eat it all the time, and it's bad for you.
-
love to cook fix homemade meal 6 days a week usually for supper each day basic meals and desserts.
-
I'm a terrible cook hahah. But I can make my own breakfast with w/ sunny side up eggs or scrambeled eggs.
I enjoy making brownies and cookies though!
-
I love cooking and experimenting with food. My fiance and I cook together all the time. Her and myself make cooking fun at least rather than a chore
-
very often
-
I heat food up in the microwave.
-
i love to cook i have some of the best recipes every one loves my food
-
I just started learning how to cook. It's pretty okay. I can cook curry and chutney and almost anything that comes in a box. I'd say that's pretty good for a teenager.
-
Oh yeah! I make almost everything from scratch. It's just better. The last thing I made was a bunch of Vanilla Homemade ice cream. Made about 6 batches and stored in freezer......yummm I hardly eat anything processed anymore. I can't pronounce some of the ingredients on packages. Rule of thumb: if you can't pronounce it, don't put it into your body. I've been buying more and more organic fruits and veggies.
-
I am trying to stick to a diet, which doesn't involve a lot of cooking on my end. Just fresh single-ingredient type foods. Go lazy me.
-
I cook most of the time
-
I cook almost every day for my husband and kids. In the past, we go out to for eating. I am not working out, so Icook and try differents dishes for my family. They enjoy my cook :P
-
i some times love to cook, unless its hot outside.
but we do use the grill a lot. although since im the only one that usually cooks, and now im pregnant..its hard to look at food.
-
Yes I cook but don't especially enjoy it.
-
I try to make food, good home cooked meals and all, but with my nighty work schedule, it's tough. I'm not the best chef either, so usually when I make something home-cooked, it doesn't come out as good as it looked in the cook-book. When I don't cook at home, I try to stick with "healthy" fast food, like Subway or something.

i sumtimes like to cook
-
cooking is something that i tend to do everyday.
-
I actually do cook.
Ive been cooking since I was 8 years old.
And when I mean cooking, I mean like making full-blown dinners.
Its been a good 12 years experince for me now.
Everyone Ive ever cooked for, enjoys my meals to no end.
Ive been getting into baking lately.
Im fastly improving upon that as well.
:)
-
Most of the time, I cook, but then I have a million dishes to do.
-
I've tried, many times, but it's just not something that comes naturally for me. I pretty much hate to cook. When I've made big meals, most of them have come out pretty good and everyone likes it, but I just don't enjoy it! Thank goodness I have a man that loves to cook (though he'd like if I could cook for him sometimes!). I do like to bake though, even if it doesn't come out tasting delicious, I enjoy making desserts :)
-
i love to cook..i can only cook homemade meals when i have time..i work full time and go to school so i cook easy meals for me and my daughter..i have a hectic schedule sometimes..
-

Before I didn't like to cook, but know that I am on vacations I love it.
-
I love to try new recipes. I notice there is a recipe link in the pay to click. I'm sure that will be useful to me.
-
yes, I cook everyday for my 3 children and my husband. Sometimes twice a day and usually at least 2 courses; soup and maincourse. I enjoy cooking alot, especially when someone loves my dishes1
-
Not much anymore. Since its just me, I get a lot of easy food but sometimes I get hungry for certain things and cook.
-
I like to cook home made meals... for one you can control what goes into what your making (ie if you have a food allergy you KNOW youre not going to put that in!) and 2)it cost a lot less than eating out! :D 3) you dont have to worry about the sanitation of the kitchen HA HAHA!!! (Or anyone spitting in your food etc). I also i like to bake home made cookies and loafs (ie banana bread).
-
I'm learning to cook, we try to eat at home more often to save money... 8)
-
I love cooking!
-
I can't stand cooking, never could.
-
I don't cook. I only bake. Ahahaha but seriously I only experiment in cooking. I don't like to look at the recipe at all. My sister cooks everything. And maybe because when I was younger, someone cooked for our family and that's why I never learned.
-
I love to try new things and being in a small town I cook alot...... my kids love my cooking, today they told me my cooking never lets them down. My hubby eats things he never liked growing up that his Mother made. He told me I use to think I didn't like fish or meatloaf, now I know it's my Mom's cooking what I hate!!!!
-
I love to cook! Trying new recipes is so much fun.
-
i love to cook for friends and family. i do it all the time. i like baking better though. my friends and family love it and so do i!
-
Absolutely love cooking and trying new things. But most of the things I do cook have to do with my cultural background. Puerto Rican/Cuban food. If you haven't tried spanish food, you should really try it. Delicious and healthy at the same time. On other days when I don't feel like cooking spanish; I'll make Italian or Chinese and then on another day I'll have our regular American food. You know just to vary things because everyone gets tired of eating the same food everyday.
-
I use to cook every night when I was married and then when my husband left I lost the desire to cook. Now after 9 years I finally want to cook again.
I'm sorry about your husband. But cooking is a habit and it is good to cook sometime but not all the time :)
-
 I cook every night - and dinner has to be hot when he comes from home.
-
I try to cook everyday also.... When it's my hubby and me alone in the house i can be a contestant for next iron chef but when the my step daughter is here. I usually have to cut it back to the regular meat and potatoes (french fries).
Just have once a week that try to eat out if at that. <3 to be creative in the kitchen
-
Oh yes, the food tastes so much better when you cook it yourself.
-
When I lived with my boyfriend, he was such a finicky eater, I couldn't cook anything other than hamburgers or steak! :sad1:
But now that we broke up, I can make all of my experimental dishes and stay the hell away from red meat! ;D
-
I do cook, but only when I really have a craving for certain foods. Other than that I don't cook, mostly because I don't like cooking.
-
i don't ever cook because i am no good at it so i hope i find a man to cook for me lol
-
yea, i try and take basic recipes and change them up to make all sorts of dishes
-
I cook every night, hubby comes from work starving, but weekends I am off ;D
-
I love to stirfry my meals. they are quick and easy...just chop every veggies, with herbs & spices, meat, and through it in the wok then before you know it's dinnertime!
-
I can but dont enjoy it.
-
I loved to cook and even own a wonderful recipe website. Sorry guys would love to give you people a link to it i can cause the mod will have me remove from FC
-
I cook, but no one here wants to eat any of it! I use ground turkey in any dinners or lunches (because it's great!) and bananas and/or peanut butter in dessert-types.
