Title: The State with the worst drivers
Post by: mpedersen on August 13, 2010, 06:56:38 am: Good Day to you all!

In efforts to assist with future residency I am asking everyone to give their opinion on which couple of states they've lived in have the worse drivers (not just visited, I would like someone with at least 3 months experience in the state) and in not just one city/town. Thank you so much for your input!

Post by: missijl on August 13, 2010, 07:45:35 am: I'm not enjoying drivers here in North Carolina. The weather here is mostly (always) hot and sunny. At the first sign of a few raindrops, people seem to forget how to drive! I've seen more accidents here (even on perfect weather days) than any other state I've lived in!

Post by: darkiedark on August 13, 2010, 11:19:31 pm: lol hands down, NY. Nobody follows rules here, after they get their license you can expect them never to show their signals. And they honk at student drivers for driving too slow.

They have no respect for anybody on the road, think that blinkers are clearly not necessary and seem to be late no matter where they are going! It's horrible and I hate driving in Wisconsin due to that fact. On the other hand, I've heard that Michigan drivers are the BEST drivers. They know how to share the road.

Also New York is quite insane from my experience..

That would explain it, they move to CO realize they need to drive, get their license and cause accidents!

Post by: Annella on August 14, 2010, 09:53:35 pm: California for sure, and Alaska. I lived 16 years in Alaska and everybody is from somewhere else, hence they have all the worse drivers from all over the US.
